Re: “Legally, it doesn't take much for a guest to stake a claim to your home

Well i need some advice and i hope someone can help me. My current boyfriend mom and dad own the home were they have let us live for almost 9 years rent free because they are his parents. We have two kids, but our problem is they think they can just show up when ever they want and start throwing stuff away that is in our yard without even asking if they can come at first. His dad comes and cuts our grass he will not allow us to cut it our selfs but he want even give us a day noticed to were we can pick up the kids toys so he can cut the grass, he just shows up when ever he wants and then gets pissed if they have a toy in yard but when he dose show up we go outside and pick them up if we are home and we have a cement slab in back yard and he just go on to it and throw what ever he wants a way We do not have any type of agrement at all on paper but all of the bills are in my name. They have also entered the home with out asking us. I woke up one day neaked in my bed to his dad just standing their staring at me so I cussed him all to piece. BUT THE PROBLEM IS THEY THINK THATS SICE WE LIVE HERE RENT FREE THEY CAN DO OR SAY WHAT EVER THEY WANT TO US. I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE, SO IF WE LIVE HERE RENT FREE DO WE STILL HAVE RIGHT AND IS THIS OKAY.

Re: “Local anti-war activists persist through decades of intimidation and repression

$523.9 billion is the Pentagon's Budget for 2017. Imagine what benefit a 1/2 trillion dollars might bring to Americans rather than "defense" contractors and a standing military presence throughout the world.

Only 4 guys showed up to question that? How dumb are WE THE PEOPLE to fall in line with this thinking?

Jeez, perhaps 9/11 was something we cooked up via back channels with Saudi Arabia, who fund 9 out of 10 Islamic terrorist deaths that occur. Thought that conspiracy theories were asinine but it starts adding up after a while.

Re: “Colorado GOP announces new flack

Does the use of the word "flack" in the headline indicate bias or hate? If so, Nat Stein needs to add this to his database of "hate events".

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs turns to reserve fund for $3.4 million bailout of forecast error

Dear R Wehner, who the heck are you?
Asking questions is now 'inappropriate' until someone has marched down to the mayors office for an appointment? If you are so well informed then answer the dudes question.
You are just rude without making a point.

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs turns to reserve fund for $3.4 million bailout of forecast error

I thought the reserves were for emergencies and unplanned disasters not a way to fund day to day operations because they used unrealistic growth projections. Then why did they wait a year to tell the public conveniently when it is time to begin planning the 2018 budget. Oops we made a mistake. Where is their accountability? Do they not have to report budget indicators on a monthly or at least quarterly summary and report it to the auditors? Who is getting dinged on their performance review for this? This is not transparency.

Let Them Serve.
The Academy led them on when they allowed entrance and now points out a rule against them serving.

Mr. Gonzalez, Jr.

Would it enhance the feelings of competence the public has in local leadership if you had sought qualified and exact answers to your question prior to inserting yourself in City business and jumping into the process not having the knowledge required to do so?

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs turns to reserve fund for $3.4 million bailout of forecast error

So, did this revenue shortfall occur in 2016 or 2017? If 2017, why did they not simply reduce how much money the TABOR retention would be for the city (6-3.4 = $2.6 million eligible to keep from TABOR excess that the residents approved for stormwater and NO need to take from the reserves)? Or am I confusing different things?

Re: “Hogan Lovells racked up $3.5 million in fees during Mayor Bach's four-year term

if only we could have told the rest of the country how bad it is to elect a developer with no political experience. old botch and p***y grabber gump are much alike in that they care more for making their buddies rich than doing anything for the regular citizens.

So, how much did we pay which consultant to calculate future population growth?

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs turns to reserve fund for $3.4 million bailout of forecast error

"When the mayor [John Suthers] recognized this back in the fall [of 2016], he told the department heads to cut spending and save money..."

The question then becomes why didn't the City tell citizens this tiny little $3.4 million prediction error occurred and that the fund source of what they asked citizens for was not excess, but would instead partially come from reserves? If they knew enough to tell departments and didn't tell citizens, that's an integrity problem (a lie by omission) when you're pushing the TABOR retention ballot initiative.

Re: “Stratton Open Space isn't like it used to be

No one gets to have that "alone in the forest" hiking experience in Waldo Canyon anymore. What hiker's ego trip is more important than protecting an open space from fire?

You know what else ruins that 'alone in the woods' sense? A fire destroying the forest

Re: “City to spray for moths in North Cheyenne Cañon area

Just to clarify:
During the spraying operation, we do NOT divert water from Cheyenne Creek or other source waters potentially impacted by the spraying into our drinking water supply. And prior to bringing those sources of water back into supplying our drinking water system, we test them to assure there are no water quality problems that have been caused by the spraying project.
