Re: “Prepping your first-time camper

Summer Camp is so important, it gets kids outside and away from their screens. Yet, as parents, we all want to be sure our kids are safe. Any camp you select especially Overnight Camps should be accredited by the ACA, they check over 300 camp items. I know I own Swift Nature Camp

Re: “How to pick the best summer camp for your kids this year

As Camp Owners of Swift Nature Camp and over 20 years in the business, I agree with all the information here. The only thing I would need to ad. Summer camps have a culture and this culture is not always highlighted on the website. So how do you differentiate between camps, because lets face it archery is archery. Here are few ways to help: Ask the director, look at camp size, ask other campers, and of course do a review search online. Hope that helps

Re: “Camp Guide 2011

Summer camp does bring back some memories. I liked that you included camps that used scholarships. Zip lining and rock climbing sound like great summer camp activities. I didn't have those when I went to camp. Sounds fun.

Re: “Summer Camp Guide 2010

You forgot one!…

ADTC's dance training camps are open to girls ages 8 - 17. Dancers of all levels and disciplines are welcome - no prior dance experience is necessary to attend!

Our top-notch instructors bring to ADTC the coolest combinations from some of the best national and international dance studios, schools and performance groups. Classes are organized by age and ability level, and instruction is carefully tailored to fit the ability level of each student - from beginners to experienced performers - with lots of hands-on help and individualized attention. In addition to ADTC's core jazz/funk and hip hop classes, campers are exposed to a variety of dance disciplines (such as lyrical, ballet and tap) during each session-week. Each girl takes four dance classes per day, and at week's end, campers get to show off their new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of camps in Colorado for kids. I don't know where to start. I didn't realize all the activity available for kids as young as kindergarten. Thanks for the information.
