Re: “No bones about it

As a dog owner and lover I found the article "No Bones About It" very one sided. People might think it's a great idea to bring your pets everywhere but I feel it is a very selfish way of thinking. In a restaurant environment, the last thing I want to see is a bunch of dogs, calmly laying down or not. Restaurants have a hard enough time keeping their establishments clean from adults and kids visiting and then you add dogs, big or small, to the picture and it could become very costly, not to mention a liability for the store owner/manager if one time a dog bites a patron. Lets consider people who have allergies, dog phobias and any other personal issues people may have with animals in general. People have an unwarranted notion that everyone loves their dog and are oblivious about personal boundaries. No matter how much I love my dogs I will not put my dogs before other people. Let's not lose our heads and truly consider our pets as other people.
