Re: “Welcome to the 40th year of the ’80s

Luckily Annabella Lwin is still performing — the real voice of Bow Wow Wow! She sounds better than ever and her energy just can't be duplicated.

Re: “The Untouchables go back to their mod/ska roots

This is Chuck Askerneese, an original founding member.
I agree with Dee, and state that furthermore to leave out mention of Terry, Rob Lampron our original drummer, and Herman Askerneese our original bass player is heinously wrong. Without any of the original members and the chemistry that came together when we collaborated, our creative fire would not have sparked!

Peace to all,

Re: “Summer Justice’s sound advice

I like to add to Summer Sunday mood groups and she hit the nail on the head and my choice is Real Estate “Darling”. I got into those guys four years ago and absolutely love them as well as Wild Nothing and MGMT and Tame Impala. I got introduced to Clairo over the summer and yes she has that smooth voice and love her style of music. Thank you for your service to our contry as well Summer.

Re: “The Untouchables go back to their mod/ska roots

I do have a comment. This leaves out the fact it was more than Jerry Chuck Keven and Clyde. There was also my Brother Terry Ellsworth. HE is in so many other photos and I have lots of photos of Terry on stage with them from the ON club. So the writer of this is either being very biased or does not know the true history of this band. Or just decided to leave out a major part of the band. Terry co wrote the song "Dance Beat" one of their early singles pressed to vinyl. Terry left a little before the hit Free Yourself came out. But it always irks me when I read articles that omit true history of a band. Jeesh!

Re: “Will CDs finally succumb in 2020?

Having worked in and around the music business for 19 years, I'm surprised CDs didn't completely and totally end 5 years ago. This was always the logical conclusion of digital distribution, and represents the final evolution of the business.

Few if any new cars have a CD player installed and NO new laptops are sold with a drive. Try to find a portable cd player for sale in Walmart or Target. Give a CD to anyone under 25 and you'll likely get annoyed confusion.

I love indie record stores, but they're the last remnants of a dead and commercially unviable model.
