Re: “Utilities Board agrees to add more solar after colorful public comment

It is an absolutely dishonest argument to claim that only one side is allowed to comment or reference public data but the other side can comment regardless of academic qualifications.

I cited the actual NWS historical records and current data. Are you arguing that no one but you can cite NWS records and data?

All you have to do is look at the video.

The only way you can make your argument is by erasing history, burning the record books, McCarthyite silencing others and Denying Data.

Sad.

Re: “Utilities Board agrees to add more solar after colorful public comment

Andres:

Since you didn't link to your data, I won't be able to see or evaluate it.

It might be helpful if you would list your scientific credentials as an expert on climate science/data. Since you're asking to be believed based on your personal experience with the data, it seems reasonable to ask for your background that would make your opinion credible and reliable.

Re: “Utilities Board agrees to add more solar after colorful public comment

Gustaf and Bill, what the reporter failed to include in the article was that I showed the actual NWS data that proved the point before I made the point.

So do you have the intellectual courage to even see the data? or are you a Data Denier?

Re: “The road to Rosemont is shot to pieces

This is so typical of todays people. Note I didn't say today's 'shooters.' We see this crap everyday, on everyway. If it's not empty shotgun shells, it's empty fast food bags, cigarette packs, water bottles, diapers, etc.; they all line the roads from people who just don't think, nor give a shit. Nobody looking? Throw that shit right out the window, someone else will clean it up! Dat's what I pay taxes for right? Damn right beeitches! In my opinion, it all comes down to a lack of morality according to the upbringing of todays children. They don't care because we taught them not to care. Are they going to get a trophy for being a good citizen? Nope. So, Fuck it.

Re: “Protected bike lanes take time to adjust to, as early grievances attest

As past bike projects in this city demonstrates, safety and the interests of the citizens are not important. In other bike projects it was easily demonstrated the city's cited case studies did not apply to the scenario they were used to justify. Relevant case studies suggested the design was net more dangerous for cyclists. The response? The mayor publicly criticized the citizens for voicing these relevant facts and the media and city goes on a lying campaign to back it up. No where in here is the interests of the citizens of this city regardless of their mode of transportation.

Gustaf - And what say you about your your own "pre-existing beliefs?" It takes intelligence receptive to the evidence from ALL climate scientists, which includes the dissenting scientists who state the obvious truth that climate change has been the norm for the millions of years that the Earth has been in existence.

Re: “Former County Democratic Party leader forms new club to keep politicking

HOBNOBBING? Definition of hobnob "mix socially, especially with those of higher social status." We gathered at the Navajo Hogan not the Broadmoor. Has Dave Olsen ever been in the Navajo Hogan? Who in the crowd was of higher social status than any others? Don't know as my only concern was that they were my fellow Democrats. Various candidates for office spoke--is that hobnobbing? Before Dave Olsen judges and characterizes what our social gathering actually was, perhaps he should attend one. Did he ever attend any other social gatherings the EPCDP had at Southside Johnny's (again, NOT the Broadmoor)? Again, no HOBNOBBING.

Re: “Utilities Board agrees to add more solar after colorful public comment

The problem with Andy Pico is confirmation bias. Regardless of all the overwhelming evidence supporting the fact that global warming is happening, is caused by humans, and is the #1 environmental issue we're facing, he either ignores it or tries to rationalize it away because of pre-existing beliefs. It takes intelligence to believe based on evidence, and he is obviously not intelligent enough to be on City Council.

@JScott, once the river has personhood, urinating on it would cause you to be designated a sex offender, you pervert, and require your lifetime registration!

Re: “Former County Democratic Party leader forms new club to keep politicking

Such petty, petulant bullshit.
No wonder the Democratic Party has lost six straight mid-terms and has overseen a loss of 1,000 elected positions in the last ten years.
Many of these people seem more interested with hobnobbing in a social club than actually helping the average citizen. 10k a plate fundraisers with Clooney. Limo-liberals. Feathering social status...
Meanwhile the Democratic Party left the people, Liz. I for one am thrilled that Johnson has shown a willingness to create a party for ALL.

Re: “Urban canyons gouge through Colorado Springs

"if we didn't have all of these canyons, and everything was flat,..." then all the world would be under water. Besides canyons, we have hills and mountains, formed mostly by volcanic activity, but I'm sure with a little effort and ingenuity it could all be bulldozed and pushed into the oceans to make everything flat.

Re: “UPDATE: MRFF calls out chaplain who says not all religions need constitutional protection

Mike Randall observed, "If we are to allow the free practice of Christianity in the military, then other religions are welcome as well."

Please allow me to elaborate. This particular cabal in the military is not in the least interested in promoting or protecting "the free practice of Christianity" at all. They have their own unique sect that they have declared to be the "true" cult, and no one is a "true Christian," in their view, who adheres to any other Protestant variant of Christianity.

In other words, Christians themselves are in just as much danger of suffering religious oppression at the hands of so-called "chaplains" such as these, as anyone else.

Re: “Utilities Board agrees to add more solar after colorful public comment

"Board member Andy Pico denied that those storms were out of the ordinary and insisted that global warming isn't happening. "

I'll keep this in mind next election cycle.
