Re: “UPDATE: Ex-officer says he witnessed order to notarize deputy oaths

One can only hope that CBI is really doing an investigation. If anyone can confirm that, I'd love to talk to the investigator. It would be an easy investigation at this point. And criminal charges would be inevitable. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

But there is a whole lot of names that need to go. From Bill "I lie alot" Elder to Joe "I love eyeing the girls" Breister to Larry "Do what I say!" Borland to Jackie "I'll do anything if it's in my own personal interest" Kirby to Rob "Hey, show me your t..." King to all of the rest of them at the rank of Commander and above.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

What is the excuse for Aspen Valley Ranch and Julie Snyder? AVR is fully self funded with cell towers and rental properties that PPCF has put up for sale. Why not have public forums about Venetucci and AVR rather than calling or emailing Sam Clark. Please give notice and time for the public who are interested to make arrangements to attend.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

The Pikes Peak Community Foundation's current leadership is looking CORRUPT as hell. I highly encourage local media to INVESTIGATE them immediately. And I highly encourage anyone looking to donate to them to look elsewhere.

Just a couple weeks ago, in Woodland Park, PPCF fired Aspen Valley Ranch manager Julie Jackson-Snyder. Jackson-Snyder is the very woman who donated Aspen Valley Ranch to PPCF in the first place, on behalf of her late father (Julie was the head of her father's "Gordon Jackson Foundation") basically telling her they understand her father's wishes for property better than her.

Translation: They're looking to sell.

And like they're now doing with Venetucci, PPCF has already begun the process of starving AVR by disposing of the very assets (rental properties and communications towers) that provide AVR it's recurring annual income.

Get on this, CSIndy staff, before these properties ... which PPCF promised to protect, and which are meant for community enrichment ... are sold off to the highest bidder with PPCF pocketing the cash.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt. Please look into this.

The Pikes Peak Community Foundation's current leadership is looking corrupt as hell, and I encourage local press to launch a thorough investigation immediately. Up in Woodland Park, they recently fired Julie Jackson-Snyder, the very woman who donated Aspen Valley Ranch to PPCF on behalf of her late Father, Gordon Jackson (whose foundation Julie headed up) basically claiming that they knew better than Julie what her father's desires for the property were. Translation: They're looking to sell the property (and sell out the community), which is something Gordon Jackson NEVER would have wanted. Get on this, CS Indy staff ... before these properties, which were meant to be protected and their owner's legacies honored are gone forever to the highest bidders PPCF can find.

Re: “Reader: Don't be fooled by the BLR agreement

There is nothing Conservative about not paying your bills and a lot of supposed Conservatives have forgotten that. This situation should be a red flag warning of what the supposed Conservatives in Washington are doing currently.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

I would hope any of the donors or families considering leaving their properties in the "care" of Pikes Peak Community Foundation are paying attention to how PPCF Board is, to say the least, unethical. Look at Aspen Valley Ranch in Woodland Park. I would be interested in knowing who all makes these decisions, their names, their ties to developers, politicians, etc. It's always about money. Selling off Aspen Valley Ranch, which is self supporting, how can this foundation be trusted to manage the money? They obviously don't care about what Venetucci Farm means to the community. I would love to see this board held accountable for how they have spent the money they are responsible for.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

Of course PPCF laid them off two weeks before Christmas, I would expect nothing less from the deplorable degenerates that now make up the board of the Foundation.

This was never about "public safety" or the water.

It was only ever about the Foundation wanting to get rid of Venetucci Farm and destroy that legacy.

The entire local food and business economy was horribly negatively affected by this closing. That will be felt in our community for years to come. And that's not even talking about all of the small family businesses, programs and initiatives that were destroyed when the Foundation ended its fiscal sponsorship program.

The entire board and everyone even remotely involved in the community foundation should never allowed to influence a single other decision in this region, and the entire lot of them should be ashamed of themselves.

They are all horrid people who only have their own egos in mind, not the good of this community.

Re: “UPDATE: Ex-officer says he witnessed order to notarize deputy oaths

Larry Borland is a lying POS. Bill Elder is a lying POS. Both of them belong in jail (along with some others like Jackie Kirby).

Thank you Rick Dietz and thank you "Lt. Doe" for having the courage to step forward. Thank you Pam for this article.

As a friendly reminder ... KARMA's a bitXh!

I LOVE IT!!!

Re: “El Paso County Retirement Plan mulls request for extra retiree payment

REALLY??? Try being a low wage employee that will only get $1000 a month in social security benefits after working over 30 years here in the low wage paying Colorado Springs. These City/ State employees are so fortunate to get $18K a year in benefits, when so many other hard working full time employees wont get nearly as much. I worked as a Professional Photographer without any medical or paid leave for 7 years with a local business that barely would pay a living wage before being terminated to cut her employee budget since I was one of the highest paid employees under management at $9 an hour in 1997 so she could sell her photo lab business at a better equity rate .

On my current job, I barely get a raise every year and it hasn't kept up with the cost of living for the past 5 years. And if you couldn't afford to buy your own home when prices were low, the rent on a one bedroom apartment is now more than my mortgage on my two bedroom home. Maybe if Former Mayor Bach didn't give away millions to his buddies to retire, there would be more in the city budget to give you a raise. Good Luck with that!

Be proud of the fact you have good enough taste to like Phil Collins solo work! He was the dominant musician of the 1980s and is a consummate drummer, singer, songwriter, actor, producer and seems to be an all around great guy! He could do much worse!

Re: “Reader: Thanks for passing your mistakes to my generation

What happened to the Conservative principle that you pay your bills? Also, with corporate profits at near record high and corporate taxes collected as a % of GDP at a near historic low, why give the Corps the lions share or the benefit?

Re: “Reader: Thanks for passing your mistakes to my generation

It's true. There's gonna be a Huge deficit that me and my kid will have to eventually pay for. Also, the inherentance tax breaks will ensure that the wealthy of the future are born into it rather than actually work their butts off to build their own wealth (FYI the vast majority of rich people in the US inherited their wealth).

It doubles the standard deduction by eliminating all the other deductions. It also expires in 10 years (the tax cuts for the rich do not expire). Do not mistake a short term gain for a long term solution. It truly is the younger generations who will be paying for your temporary benefit.

It doubles the standard deduction from 14 to 28k. If you cannot see the obvious benefit that gives to working class people, then you are probably reading too much huffpo.
