Re: “UPDATE: Tiny House Jamboree to leave Colorado Springs

Hi fellow readers!

I just wanted to let you all know about the following event. Three local builders were very disappointed that there was no longer going to be a festival in Colorado so they joined up to make this happen! I've copied the info below:

COME TO THE FIRST ANNUAL COLORADO TINY HOUSE FESTIVAL!!

Come see many unique tiny homes, tiny homes on wheels, yurt homes, shipping container homes, and other small unique structures! Hosted at the sprawling Wild Animal Sanctuary, NE Denver, brought to you by Einstyne Tiny Homes, Rocky Mountain Tiny Homes, and Trailer Made Custom Trailers.

Learn about going tiny, simplifying your life, minimalistic living, and living greener!
There will be vendors, speakers, entertainment, food, drink, and you can even decide to take a walk on the wild side and visit the Wild Animal Sanctuary to see the most incredible, majestic rescued wildlife in Colorado!

Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Wild Animal Sanctuary

THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT!

Children 12 & under are FREE!

Go to http://coloradotinyhousefestival.com/ for more info or to get your tickets!

Re: “UPDATE: Tiny House Jamboree to leave Colorado Springs

I cannot quite understand the suddenness of this. It would have been much more businesslike and appropriate to make such a change for Summer 2018. Something doesn't seem right about pulling the rug out from under plans people have already made, many months in advance. I booked air tickets several months ago as well as a room. I'm not happy about this. I'm surprised to see these Jamboree folks don't have better manners, planning abilities, etc.

Re: “TheatreWorks honors Kathleen Fox Collins

Kathleen has been to the arts what Pike's Peak has been to local scenery. We who have had the privilege of knowing her and working with her these last 40 years consider her a treasure and a delight.

Re: “Local authors awarded at 2017 Colorado Book Awards reception

Carrie Vaughn who won in the genre category and is in the turquoise blouse in the picture above is also from Colorado Springs. She graduated from high school at Lewis Palmer and lived here for a few years after college. She is now in the Boulder area.
