Re: “El Pueblo History Museum’s Indigenous Film Festival explores themes of borderlands

Mau Piailug practiced Satawalese (Micronesian) navigation. Not Polynesian navigation. He taught these techniques to the Polynesian Voyaging Society, but they are not Polynesian techniques.

Re: “Colorado Springs Creative Collective moving forward with Artspace development

I wonder if this will create similar patterns of growth as the RiNo District in Denver had? Rent hikes in surroundings areas...Displacement of homeless folx in the community there....
What is low income housing in other areas? Is it typically below $500/month?

I'm a low income artist-I love the idea of community space and working space in our city, how amazing!
Let us do this right. Let us move forward in the Colorado Springs way, not the Denver or New York or Chicago way!
New developments are, in fact, a form of gentrification it is difficult to avoid that. It is a demon to tackle when growing our city.
How are we going to address this?
