Re: “Ent Center for the Arts presents diverse lineup for 2019-2020 Artist Series

I went to tour ENT center - it is amazing, but I cant afford tickets. It has a visual, stimulating, dynamic atmosphere.

Re: “The guru of groovy

Did Gia-fu do psychodrama as well as tai chi at Still Point on bear creek road in the Santa Cruz mountains in California?
Or were the two Harvard students I gave a ride up there from Los Gatos putting me on, as it were?
I was young and green, asking a lot of questions. I told them about the MidPeninsula Free U and the Psychodrama Workshop lead by Stanford postdoc fellow Vik Lovell, to whom Ken Kesey dedicated his book One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
They must have been reflecting me!
What else?
Can you shed some light on this?
Thx in advance.
Best, Frances Blasquez Perren, one of Viks clients and devotees.

Update: Romero and the ARG! studio relocated to Stilwell, Oklahoma after this article was published in 2017. The Artie.com domain name was sold in 2018, and the studio's new home page is https://www.artiestick.com

Re: “Art on the Streets sculpture vandalized, Downtown Ventures searching for missing piece

I'm not surprised, with all of the homeless junkies and tweakers wandering around in that area. Crime is off the charts and yet we can't roust up the homeless because it violates their "rights". Meanwhile they continue to steal and trash our once beautiful city.

Re: “The Ruth Holley Library Rededication and Open Mic has us remembering a real community hero

It honestly would have been nice to know the date of this event. I wasn't able to find any info on this event anywhere. You posted the time (it might have been inadvertent b/c it listed under a picture) but now way to know when this event took place. Would have been nice to attend. Would have been nice to donate and see what books were avail for sale. I guess the article would have been nice if it was finished.

Hideous. Why not make something pretty.

Re: “Rumor is Funky's current production should be a cathartic laugh-fest

My wife and I saw this production the second night of its run. Right off the bat I knew this was going to be a fun-filled play. The cast was right on cue and everything was rolling smoothly except for the dead guy. Absolute chaos toward the end of the second act had really finished off a great evening!

Re: “American Prom offers hope that we are none of us so entrenched in our ways that we can’t change

The set was designed by Lawrence Moten and the lighting by Mike Wood. Costumes by Sarah Shaver. Sound by RJ Jackson - if youre going to talk about the design, credit the designers!

Re: “Cripple Creek’s new Christmas Casino and a conversation about the holiday

Really?? You are kidding me. If you want to limit Freedom of Expression, Speech etc start by shutting up. If you want to call yourself a "newspaper" then print some news.
I went to school many years ago with a guy named Jim Christmas. I winder if he alive and being maligned by righteous (self-appointed) PC pinheads. PC is really a bigoted practice and an infringement on the !st Amendment. Believing people are offended by stereotyping or jokes is saying they are too immature or stupid to know the difference between humor and insult. Belittling people is not a good thing, you idiots should know that.

Re: “Photographer Bill Young focuses his camera on homelessness and dialogue

I want to see a nice panorama of a field; with mounds of trash surrounding an unused 30 yard dumpster.
Because although I care about the homeless; I will never understand their abusage of the world that they do live in - our Colorado outdoors and natural lands.
The Concrete Couch has a giant dumpster such as the one mentioned; and teh Concrete Couch's current outdoor project also has miscellaneous trash and garbage all over it's property; in and around Shooks Run.
Too bad none of the homeless can't take turns volunteering to clean up their own areas.
