Re: “Ministry at the Broadmoor World Arena show preview

It’s just hard to imagine this show being in the same zip code that is home to people who have walls guarding the entrance to their driveway leading to their castle-house structure and property that they could golf in...where you feel like you don’t belong driving the streets in a car valued less than 100,000 dollars;)...maybe they have their own zip code, now that I think of it.

Re: “Ministry at the Broadmoor World Arena show preview

Ministry...Broadmoor..never would have expected to see those two names in the same sentence in any context!

Re: “Council votes on entertainment district

Re: “Council votes on entertainment district

Interesting, an entertainment industry to attract public intoxicants...no biggie. However, AirBnBs are just too much for council to handle and so they are preparing to make them illegal at the meeting on the 26th.

Re: “Southeast shoulders one-third of city's pedestrian-vehicle fatalities

" But the sad reality and facts are that a many of our streets are dangerous by design and are difficult, if not impossible, to traverse or cross comfortably and safely. "

Not really. In many cases it just takes the pedestrian to walk a few hundred feet more. You cannot sit there and tell me that people who are going to/from the Walgreens at Circle and Yampa (Galley) have no other choice except to cross Circle in the middle of the block. Yet I see it happen all the time.

Just yesterday I had a guy cross Platte not more than 50 ft away from the designated crossing at Chelton. He dashed between the cars and crossed mere feet in front of mine.

You also cannot sit there and tell me that people who are crossing of no choice but to wear dark clothing.

So yeah, we pedestrian shame, for a really damn good reasons.

Re: “Council votes on entertainment district

This is a pretty cool thing. I'd love if that stretch of Tejon from Colorado to (pick a street north) would do something similar, and be pedestrian-only on Friday/Saturday evenings.

Re: “Trail etiquette should extend to parking lots too

I like seeing horses around, and I agree that some consideration should be given -- though taking 6 parking places is a little selfish. Also, we talk a lot about picking up dog poop along the trails -- how about the large piles of horse dung? (In the parking lots and on the trails.) Courtesy goes both ways.

Re: “Inmate dies by suicide in El Paso County jail

Did Pam Zubeck put anything in this story that did not happen?

Re: “Inmate dies by suicide in El Paso County jail

Typical of Pam Zubeck stories, she adds a bunch of derogatory information that has nothing to do with this suicide in an attempt to somehow blame the county sheriff's office for it.

Re: “UPDATE: City proposes incentive for company it will not name

Microsoft did select Cheyenne, Wyoming for a data center, as well as other areas. Just not Colorado Springs.

Re: “Dinner Down on the Farm

Their corn muffins were fantastic, cinnamon rolls were wonderful, honey butter yummy, potato cheese soup to die for. I wish I had gotten the recipe for the potato cheese soup. I have looked for any of these recipes online for a few years and never found anything. If anyone knows of anything, please post here.
