Re: “After Dark

Broadway Quality singing, dancing and acting. Someday these emerging stars will be on Broadway. Everyone around me had a wonderful time. And the post show encore/olio showcased hit songs from the beebop 50s. From the program notes, it looks like actors were recruited from all over the U.S.: very professional. Fun evening.... no one wanted to leave the theater!

Re: “City Summer Fest

Not worth the money. If you don't pay for the wrist band you buy tokens which are $1/ token. Most rides are 3 tokens but I saw one ride that was $7 (tokens), and the wrist band wasn't accepted. The price of the drinks and food is crazy high and they only take tokens. $3 for a 16 oz bottle of water. You could take your own drinks in a backpack and not waste so much money. The rides were ok and it wasn't too crowded.

Re: “Risky Bizness Band

The Risky Bizness Band rocks! 4 military vets covering songs from the 50's on up. Beatles, Stones, CCR, Elvis, country, rock... you name it! Great dance music and friendly to all.

Re: “Constituent-hosted Town Hall: "With or Without You 2"

I was at the last event and the volunteer organizers did a great job. Neither Senator Gardner nor Representative Lamborn showed up, sent a staffer in their place, or even had a comment for us after the fact. Let's let them know that we expect to be heard. A huge show of force will send a strong message, whether they show or not.

Re: “Amanda's Fonda

We are long time West Siders, We knew the Woman who opened Amanda's Fonda in honor of her Sister. The food was very uniquely Mexican food and the people and service were wonderful. They have gone terribly down hill!
I went there yesterday with my girl friend who had a dinner plate I had the bowl of Menudo which had 4-5 pieces of tripe and very little homeny it was not good. I ordered the Broracho Chicken to take home for my Husband and I to share. This USED to be a wonderful, flavorful dish and a lot of it! Now you get a quarter of the dish...after eating this dish both my husband and I got Violently Sick!! With major chills, upset stomach and aches and pains!
When my husband went to let the Management know they were just rude and blew it off!!
We WILL be going to the Health Department!!DO NOT Eat Here!!!

Re: “"From the Bottom Up: One Man's Crusade to Clean America's Rivers"

Great ad, but the location is not correct on the map. The event is in Berger Hall which is in the University Center, not near the Recreation Center. Parking is in the Gateway Garage levels 4 and 5, which is GTWG on Campus map: http://map.uccs.edu/

Re: “Embracing Compassion - Lives of the Dalai Lama

The Embracing Compassion exhibition was beautiful. The art work was wonderfully presented with such delicate detail for the lighting and spacing. SO so pleasing on the eyes. So glad to have been there to share.

I attended November Meetup and loved it. Planning on going every month for a refreshingly different kind of meditation-water and song and women. Thanks, Eva

Re: “Americana Bad Assery

I love this style of art work! Plus being in the cool hidden location of the Gallery Below makes this show a real treat to find!
