Re: “Colorado Sports and Events Center stadium, arena to host Switchbacks, Colorado College hockey downtown

Did I miss the chance we were supposed to have to vote for or against stuff like this?

Re: “City rejects community vision for Leon Young Pavilion in Hillside neighborhood

Take a walk along the bike path; just head South. There used to be bunches of trees. Chopped down by the city due to the homeless littering the area. Cross the walk bridge over Shooks Run. See the open space to the N? Yep; full of trash via the homeless.

Continue under the bridge. You will emerge into a third world apocalypse of trash and debris; none of which was there just three years ago. Endless garbage.

Climb up; and follow the old tracks to the SE. Look upon trash, and trash, and more trash as you walk.

Turn back; and head towards downtown. See the open field? The homeless moved in; and within months; the trash became so deep; the only option was to raze what was formerly a small urban forest; full of trails and hiking paths. Kids used to run through them; bike around them; and neighbors would take walks.

It is all gone now.

It is not a 'homeless' people problem; it is what they do to the places they tent camp live at. They destroy our Nature.

It's all gone now.

Re: “Woodshed Red's equipment trailer was stolen and they're asking for your help

Was it secured; or was it sitting there just waiting to be rolled away? This stuff sucks but at some point in time a rural western band just might need to know better.. :/

Re: “City ordinance aimed at cracking down on creekside camping

The trash, the trash, the trash. If they can carry it in, they can carry it out.
Or they can't. If they can't carry it out, they do not need to be violating our Colorado waterways and outdoor experiences.

Oh; and if you wonder where the wildlife went that used to be where the homeless are now? Yes. Wildlife and homeless camps do not co-exist. Birds don't nest; snakes, small lizards, ducks, and all the other creek side environmental fauna - nope nope nope.

Fish? In the waterways they use as bathrooms? Our crops downstream; that will be irrigated with E-coli infected water?

Not sure what the solution is; but if the people that are causing these problems will not and can not change their ways; ... when does it become ok for a farmer to lose his entire harvest due to E-coli water?

Who has to DIE from from having to work around E-coli infected water? La Junta, Rocky Ford; all those farming communities along the path of Fountain Creek? Who will be the first to DIE from a fresh E-coli watermelon?

This is about what the homeless Are Doing to the Environment. They are Raping Mother Nature.

Re: “Downtown stadium site is a mystery

This guy would have a cow if some of our new downtown residents decided to take up tables in his bookstore. NIMBY my have a cow. Imagine the first second and third time used syringes turn up in that place.
