Re: “Colorado Sports and Events Center stadium, arena to host Switchbacks, Colorado College hockey downtown

NIMBY. Too bad nothing that exciting is ever going to happen. Just going to be a couple hundred folks sitting around watching some soccer. How about: Buy a mayor in order to generate millions in corporate welfare so you can build a useless stadium surrounded by chain restaurants and generic, plastic ugliness, on some worthless land you own, and you get a trip to the games?

Re: “Help the homeless for a free 365 Grand Club trial membership

Perry Sanders helping the homeless? He has used his vast fortune to do everything in his power to unnecessarily harass the homeless population for years. Looks like he finally figured out to make a buck off them. Boycott everything this ass is involved with.

Re: “Air Force Academy Visitors Center project termed "a tremendous gift"

Christ on a crutch!!! What happened to you Richard Skorman? I voted for you and can't even begin to describe how disappointed I am in the job you are doing on city council. Your recent endorsements of any and all development stands in pretty stark contrast to the rhetoric you were spouting back when you were running for office. Might be the quickest I've ever seen a springs politician sell out. Can we assume you are at least getting some substantial payments for your services?

Re: “New urban renewal borders in lower downtown

It is getting very difficult to keep track of all the corporate welfare money this city is gifting to the folks over at Norwood. Too bad the crap they build with it is always so tasteless. After the eyesore that is Plaza of the Rockies, they should have been prohibited from ever developing anything again. More tasteless plastic crap coming to downtown. Seriously, how can we build a city around the Olympic Museum, when their main claim to fame in recent years revolves around doping and molesting young athletes, I imagine it will be a good to place to hold #metoo rallies though.

Re: “Masterpiece Cakeshop case deepens divides as many misunderstand its meaning

The real point that seems to be consistently missed is that this was an artistic freedom issue. The ruling states: 'An artist cannot be forced to paint, a musician cannot be forced to play, and a poet cannot be forced to write'.
You cannot force an artist to create for you against their will. True art makes a statement about society as viewed through the lens of the artist, it is a reflection of the artists personal ethos. To ask someone to use their creative energy to create art opposed to their personal belief system is beyond outrageous, it is a death blow to the arts as a whole. As entitled as the world has become, you still do not have a right to make other humans do what you desire them to do against their own will. Sure the baker holds views that don't align with current political correctness and certainly seem more than a little homophobic, but, to his credit when the thought police came for him, he held onto his personal ethics, and as harley883 points out, wouldn't compromise them for a dollar.

Re: “A plan to downsize roads in the Old North End leads to a lawsuit

Really RT? I seriously doubt any of the young families living in the million dollar homes along Wood ave are financially overburdened by owning two cars. Perhaps it has more to do with being overburdened with having common folk in their neck of the woods. Ride your bike down Wood Ave sometime, notice how it is the only street in town without a single pothole, notice the speed bumps, notice the three and four car garages, notice all the huge S.U.V's and luxury sedans and see if you can say with a straight face that the occupants of those mansions are pushing for this do to being financially overburdened or out of any concern for the environment, hell, half of our development community makes their home there; I'm sure you know how environmentally conscious those folks are. I commuted to work by bike down Wood for years until I was stopped by the Police due to a resident complaining about a suspicious person riding through the neighborhood every morning. Don't pretend this is anything but a class and entitlement issue; your lousy attempts at virtue signaling can't change that.

Re: “The Bench brings sports bar fare to the New South End

ecoolEye09. If The Bench has found a way to keep the hipsters away, then I may have found a new watering hole. Just because the staff and patrons are sporting lumberjack beards, man-buns and feel most comfortable in their girlfriends jeans doesn't make a place either hipper or better; it does make it unoriginal, clich and just plain boring though. Let me guess: the T.V.s interfere with your ability to be heard when talking about how #woke you are and what you're vaping on?
