Re: “Weinstein: 'A state of war' with AFA

@ think before you speak...I am an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. I DO think before I speak. @ SimonUK, you are correct. Mr. Weinstein in the article above says he has 51 Cadets who have complained.

The Shepherding Movement/Discipleship started in Florida with the "Ft. Lauderdale 5"...Bob Mumford, Charles Simpson, Derek Prince, Don Basham and Ern Baxter. They parted ways and Bob Mumford and Derek Prince repented and asked forgiveness for starting shepherding.

Pat Robertson in a memo to his CBN staff in 1975 stated “The so-called “submission-shepherding” cult is vastly worse than anything I could have conceived of”. At risk of “serious consequences” Robertson forbade the broadcast of all radio or television tapes that featured Bob Mumford, Charles Simpsom, Derek Prince, Ern Baxter, John Poole, Don Basham and any other person involved in the disciple/shepherding movement. He ordered” all tapes erased immediately which feature any of the people”.

Re: “Weinstein: 'A state of war' with AFA are right! And one of the things the AFA is hiding is civilian proselytizing on base bypassing the Chaplains.

The press release was a pre-emptive strike to put a good face on an otherwise out of control proselytizing/harassment/fear mongering group of “Christians”.

Don and Anna Warrick, under the guise of Cadets for Christ, are teaching Shepherding.

Shepherding was deemed a cult many years ago and went underground only to surface at the AFA. It teaches complete obedience to the shepherd/leader, isolates cadets from other cadets, calls themselves a “family”, teaches that a woman’s place is in the home and submitted to her husband, tells them to select a marriage mate from within their “family” and that no one is “saved” but going to hell unless they say the “Sinner’s Prayer”. Being raised in a church and believing in the atonement of Jesus is not enough. It’s their way or the highway. Go to the Cadets for Christ website and see for yourself. Also, research shepherding/disciples.

The Warrick’s are not Pastors but own a training and development agency.

Why are they being allowed to “Shepherd” some cadets with the same teachings of complete obedience/match making as the Moonies?
