Re: “A tough conversation about race

As long as non-white people continue to say that all white people are racist, we will have a problem. As long as non-white people continue to come up with their own definitions of racism, we will have a problem. Broad-brushing an entire ethnic group (white people, in this case) only instigates racial division, although that seems to be the true desired outcome here. Because if racism were a non-issue, what would they have to rally around?

Re: “Officer-involved shooting update: Police release body cam footage

The picture attached above to this story is hilarious. It's all white people who probably didn't even know the guy and probably steer clear of the neighborhood where the shooting happened. Just a bunch of liberals trying to make themselves look important and fighting for a cause that has nothing to do with them.

Re: “Colorado Springs to study enlarging its boundaries

Sounds like poor planning on the part of the developer in his quest to rake in more money.

Re: “Women make less and pay more

"European Wax Center, had offered women 13.51 percent off of everything in the month of April in a nod to the famous dollar figure." Why don't they just charge less to begin with?

Re: “City plows ahead with detention pond at Garden of the Gods

"In short, Gaskill calls the project a complete waste of taxpayer money . I bet the people that live along 31st Street don't think it's a waste of money. When heavy rains send a flood of water through the canal and the residents have to sandbag their houses, that's a problem. When the elementary school has to close because the street is impassable, that' s a problem. The detention pond is about slowing the flow of water, not catching debris. That is what the catchment nets upstream are for. Not to mention the fact that the drainage ditch down the middle of the street has been shamefully neglected for decades. The city being reactive instead of proactive just costs us taxpayers more money in the long run.

Re: “Nor'wood business district withdraws Scheels request

"We've left a message for Chris Jenkins, president of Nor'wood, seeking a comment and will update if and when we hear back." Yeah, good luck with that.

Re: “Mayor John Suthers gets a $10,000+ raise

Gthe03, why should automatic salary increases for firefighters and police officers be included in the city charter? There are almost 1,000 city employees that are not sworn, yet they are all city employees. If police and fire get it, so should the rest.
