Re: “Can Colorado Springs get a cannabis-friendly City Council?

District 6 candidate Melanie Bernhardt has clarified her stance on recreational cannabis and has published a page in favor of this at https://melaniebernhardt.com/platform/reta… Don't let these candidates get away with voting against the will of the people on this issue.

Re: “Nearly $73,000 in dark money flows into Colorado Springs city election

I am glad that District 6 Candidate Melanie Bernhardt has not taken developer money in this election. Win or lose, she is a candidate which is not beholden to any interests except the voters and I wish to invite them to view her forum of the issues. She responds to her inquiries personally and there are multiple ways one can reach her melaniebernhardt.com/community .

All this money flowing for, as you remind us, a small paying job is scary, and causes me to not trust the city council members who benefit from these large contributions. Melanie believe she can run her campaign without the big money donors, and relies on small donations to fund her and public word of mouth. Let your voice be heard.

Re: “Colorado Springs City Council: Choices for the future

I would differ on your assertion that Pico is the only choice for District 6, Melanie Bernhardt is a progressive candidate and her message is catching on, https://melaniebernhardt.com/platform/bann… The people don't want development running roughshod over the BLR check out her views on this and other matters at https://melaniebernhardt.com

Re: “Marijuana Working Group close to solidifying new policy recommendations

These are very near sighted recommendations, as our population is growing by leaps and bounds due to the green rush in part at least, and to limit dispensaries this way only helps the dispensaries already in place, not the patients, and the patients should come first...

Re: “Why Bernie can’t quit

Bernie still has a chance to influence the race, even if he doesn't win, like you said, he has energized the populace who want his policies enacted. I still think he has the best chance to beat the republi-cons in the fall.

Re: “Canna live without it?

I think as time goes by and they see that it's a benign substance the attitude will change for the positive. Alcohol is far worse than Society deals with the consequences of that so I think a little tolerance is in order
