Re: “City Council approves Maverik gas station next to Cheyenne Creek

I'm not sure why they listen to a landscaper about the petrol containment. The City Council sold out for landscaping and paths at the creek. Who cares that one Joe schmoe thinks a Maverick is 'nicer'.

Re: “Stand for Colorado plans rallies statewide to protest "radical" legislation

The AmeriChicks have a great deal in common with the Recall Polis groups. They both make money off of keeping voters who wish to remain ignorant to facts outraged with inaccurate information.

Re: “Mayor John Suthers gets a $10,000+ raise

The strong Mayor was the worst bill of goods forced on this town by the developers.
Who idea to use those other cities as comparison?

Re: “School security guard and D-2 part ways over Polis town hall incident

That little group of republicans was yelling and carrying on that LaDonna's granddaughter was already in tears. They created a scene for video tape and ended up getting a guard fired. The video was made by the people selling recall bumper stickers and tshirts.

Re: “City TOPS Rangers bring an increased presence in Open Spaces

7 employees and so what "You are going to have a much better opportunity in Colorado Springs now, with our seven new permanent Park Rangers, of seeing a park ranger out in a park." .

Didn't the City have trouble watering parks and picking up garbage in the last few years?

Re: “Is FoodMaven fostering change, or just feeding back into the system?

I find it interesting that FoodMaven says they don't work with large farms. How would they know if some food comes from large box stores? I noticed some jobs open at foodmaven here locally and thought to myself that the salaries looked to be low like those of some local non-profit companies.

It sounds like FoodMaven also is taking food that might be donated to food kitchens or even sold to stores like Cheapies who help snap customers with access to affordable produce.
