Re: “Reader: This is horsesh*t

Horses are often a nuisance on public trails. Huge amounts of urine are a threat to streams and springs. Hikers can be endangered trying to pass horses on narrow stretches of a trail, and of course the smell and fly attracting dumps that they leave behind. I have been offended by the use of horses on trails at Garden of the Gods during the winter months for years, I hope your dignity and nose recover soon!

Re: “Reader: I don't even know where to begin with the North Cheyenne Cañon Master Plan

Sue is right, Here is the content of an email I sent to the media and city officials just today.

Hello,
I demand that the City answer for us in writing these four questions:

What is the estimated cost of the needed repairs on the section of the Barr Trail that the City acquired in the land swap?

Does an Incline Management Committee exist, and if so tell us who is on this committee, when its meetings are, where one can access the agenda for the meetings, etc.?

Is an alternate route down from the Incline feasible, and if so why has the process of approval not been started yet?

Does the City's planned Summit House actually qualify for a variance that will allow 1031 people to be in the building at one time?

John Suthers may not remain the Mayor of Colorado Springs if he ignores these questions. He is conspiring to do great and lasting harm to both cities and the entire area through the land swap, the Incline and the planned summit house. He is resisting all efforts to force him to cooperate. We should be blessed by the fact that he is a former prosecutor. Instead, he appears to be using the contacts he acquired in that role to facilitate his own corruption. The city may not be a criminal enterprise.

If Mayor Suthers will not reverse the land swap, limit or close the Manitou Incline, and call off the city's planned summit house the Mayor must go.

Thank you, Carl Strow

Re: “Reader: Let Mueller do his job

Sure its just my opinion, but it looks to me like a potential conflict of interest that would logically be avoided. For instance in the case of an officer involved shooting, another jurisdiction of law enforcement does the investigation to avoid any potential doubts as to objectivity. My sources indicate that the Directors office has had problems ever since "Screwy Louis" Freeh took over in September of 1993. They say that Director Wray has his hands full trying to clean up the swap now.

Re: “Reader: Let Mueller do his job

Muller was appointed in the wake of the firing of Director Comey. It is improper to allow one former Director to investigate the firing of another former Director, Something smells here.

Re: “UPDATE: Strawberry Fields decision supports city land swap

You are mistaken Mr. Lucas, Save Cheyenne has not challenged the appraisal that was submitted by the Broadmoor for the land where the Incline and Barr Trail sit. God Bless

Re: “UPDATE: Strawberry Fields decision supports city land swap

The courts ruling was good, Save Cheyenne does not have a strong case on those grounds. The question is why Save Cheyenne is not challenging the appraisal that was submitted by the Broadmoor. Go to https://www.facebook.com/COS-Land-Swap-183… to see why, and sign the petition to get the land swap reversed here https://www.change.org/p/force-colorado-sp…,
