Re: “Southeast Colorado Springs passed over for economic incentives

"To Councilor Yolanda Avila, who represents the Southeast, that just doesnt add up."

Sure it does Yolanda, if you take a step back and look at the big picture! The area you represent is truly blights. Wealthy people, and wealthy developers, don't want to go there. No, they want to go north and northwest, and take pristine, unimproved land, and just claim it is blighted, and use the money there. Of course, the developers, in turn, properly fund the re-elections of your peers on the council, so everyone is happy, except those in the actually blighted areas, but nobody cares about them.

Re: “The Springs’ state roads have big problems — and there’s not enough money to fix them

Interesting that this article has no mention of the $113Million that was spent for the I-25 Cimarron Interchange project. The interchange is beautiful. Looks great! The project did absolutely nothing to alleviate the congestion on I-25, which backs up every morning and evening.

There's money out there. You just don't spend it wisely. Colorado Springs is no different. Crumbling streets all over the city, except in downtown, where perfectly good curbs were torn up to beautify them and add flower boxes. Go downtown and look, they are very fancy. But they weren't needed, not when the rest of the city is falling apart.

Re: “Gov. Polis survives recall attempt

@PrairieChix:

"It would be better for Republicans to work to win elections instead of attempting to recall those legislators who have been legitimately elected."

LOL... tell that to all your liberal friends who have been working relentlessly to undo Trump's legitimate election.

Re: “Attorney General Weiser discusses his goals and first months in office

"If you look at our criminal justice system, poor people are being treated unfairly. They have to pay to get out of jail while they await trail."

Oh, and people with money don't have to pay to get out? Here's a great solution to getting stuck in jail while awaiting trial. DON'T BREAK THE LAW!!!

Re: “After a police shooting, what can be done to heal a community?

"After its release, retired El Paso County Det. Mark Pfoff told Fox21 News, Its definitely not clear this is a good, legal shooting.

Pfoff is certainly not a very good resource for critiquing police street work. He was a computer crimes guy at EPSO, and not a very good one. Never worked the streets like regular cops. Same guy who blabbed about what EPSO was looking at in the Black Forest fire investigation, acting like he was an expert, even though he had very little at all to do with that investigation.

Re: “Polis: Maybe the DA should hand off the Bailey shooting to another agency

"I hope that El Paso County takes steps above those legally required to additionally maximize the public trust in the investigation," Polis said."

One of the best ways to maximize the public trust in the investigation is for politicians like Polis to stop sowing seeds of distrust!!!

"After a police shooting, what can be done to heal a community?"

First and most importantly, Ms. Kabwasa, is to delete the inaccurate and inflammatory articles you have written on this incident and print an apology for inflaming the community over what was actually a justified shooting of a criminal. Nothing damages race relations more than hateful, bigoted, racist black people who spend all of their time screaming "racists!" where no racism exists.

I have had so many black friends who just shake their heads at the likes of you, and who desperately wish you would shut the hell up!
