Re: “City's coal plants cost more to run than wind and solar, study says

How much energy is being used by the million dollar a month electrical bill to mine bitcoin?

Pro Tip: A million dollars of heat and electricity. A bit of noise too or so I read.

Re: “Bitcoin noise test delayed

I'm supposed to change my light bulbs, let my yard dry up and die, and be sure to have so much air pressure in my tires the streets feel like buck boards; so I can save energy?

Ah yeah; so some fool can crank his neighbors LOUD and run up a million dollar a month electrical bill?

WTF Colorado Springs, WTF?

Want to raise some new tax? A new tax that is not on the homeowners and all their new valuations?

Tax this energy vampire Bitcoin crap.

"Save energy", Yeah, great example Colorado Springs. Stay classy.

Re: “Property taxes on the rise after county reevaluation

Ah, the higher income zones like the Broadmoor; where they can more easily afford a tax increase get the smallest increases.
The lower income zones, Hillside, Lowell; where they can least afford an increase; get the greatest increase.

And the Shills sports store gets the multi-million dollar tax abatement.

Something in our city is not Colorado Springs anymore.
New Denver; here we are.

Re: “A neighborhood says it’s barely tolerating the constant buzzing from a Bitcoin mining operation

Meanwhile; let's all talk about saving energy; and shuttering Drake.

Because Bitcoin to the tune of a $million$.

Sorry little people; your vote; and your council blank space does not matter.

$o $ad.

So everybody save energy; because the planet; and Colorado environment, and this place, burning it all up.

Foot; meet mouth.

Re: “Study looks at feasibility of Front Range passenger rail

Pass on the fancy; and cover the logistics of Parking first.
Yes, plain old fashioned Parking.

Assuming this rail will have 10,000 riders a day (correct, yes?); where will the cars be parked?

With this immediate, and profound FAIL ...

The rest of this study is akin to a science fiction script.

Ten thousand cars. Where will they all be parked?

Re: “Point-in-Time count shows homeless population leveling out in Colorado Springs

The "Quarry"; formerly a nice wooded area; now resembles a strip mined piece of raped earth.
Small bits of trash everywhere; basically a field of dust and blowing trash.

Please try the unsupervised social experiments in your own town of Manitou next time.
The long time neighborhood folk, the 80903 people, the people that live in the area; ... yeah. Kinda did a long term destruction on what used to be a nice part of Mother Nature.
She's gone now. All the cement and concrete won't be bringing her back again. Ouch. Concrete Ouch.

Re: “Springs Rescue Mission residents prepare for construction careers

OK, two. Out of like; a hundred or more of Nevada and Mill Street do nothings?

So many people; nothing to do all day long. Still no time to pick up any of the trash in the area, clean the streams, the woods, the bike path.

Nah, time to hit up Dorchester; hang out; toss a few more beer cans around; then head back to bunk up for the night.

Two. Out of hundreds. Small.
