Re: “Colorado College poll finds voters back land protection

Don't forget our local enablers - the "Quarry" project of moving hundreds of 'homeless' to an open space without porta potties or proper sanitation for example.
Please don't place sole blame on billionaires. Even the most modest are able to turn former open spaces into current EPA project sites.
Yes, the "Quarry" experiment area is now an EPA site.

Re: “Backpack Challenge to raise awareness around homelessness

Soon to follow:
The wake up at 6AM and be productive until 5PM - merely by walking around and picking up trash, debris, plastics, and other items. No job; homeless; why not participate in work? #SimulatedEmployment
The School and College version: Go to the Library; and read books, or learn to read. Pick up a new skill, learn to use ones mind! Mental aptitude #LearnAndEarnChallenge

As you go about your day; update on what it is like to do work, or to learn new things!

Re: “Homeless Right to Rest Act gets fifth try in Colorado Assembly

Nobody should have the right to sit about anywhere in Colorado; and surround themselves with empty cans, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, and other worthless debris.
Particularly when there is a trash can no more than a corner away.

Follow normal rules of behavior. Nobody cares where a person stops for a good and long moment. Foul the place; yeah. TIme to move along.

As always; the people that most support somebody pitching a tent at Platte and Tejon; ... they will Always be the First to call the police upon first site of a shopping cart in their own neighborhood. In the neighborhoods of others; how very, very fair! Upon their own areas; absolutely Not.

Re: “Council adopts RV parking ban

"Where are the creative problem solvers in our city government?"
Well; they are downtown; and they seem to have taken note of the gross abusage of our fine cities more than generous charity, and acceptance.
What the city got in return was campsite after campsite overflowing with trash, bodily wastes, hypodermic needles, and violent crime.

"On a law abiding basis" ... and that is the bad rub. Can't follow traditional manners and social graces of simple hygiene; then please go elsewhere; behave the same disrespectful way; and they will again be moved along their way.
"Free" is not free. Free might mean keeping an area clean. Free parking is not going to all of a sudden create some sudden sense of ~Duh, now I wills puts my trashes in the trashes cans!~. Free parking would unfortunately result in some 10 gallon dump of a RVs septic tank; and with the RV simply driving away.
We all love the concept. Current iteration is not and has not worked.

Re: “Concrete Couch: We're making "A Place for All to Meet and Make"

That area is a disgusting mess. Trash is everywhere; and by this time next year; all of the trees will have been cut down for firewood.
Anybody donating towards this needs to take a first person walk through; and all against it need to do the same.
Disgusting. Trash is EVERYWHERE.

Re: “Manitou Springs City Council OKs new agreement with Cog Railway

So; since Pueblo no longer has any steel works; the Clog can import the millions of dollars worth of steel; and that is good for Colorado, because?
Oh look; a squirrel?

I am So glad I do not live in Manitou. Aside from a city named after all the dead Native Americans that no longer exist; this whole Clog deal is just, IDK; stupidest thing to ever happen in the front range region.

Hai; steel? Oh, hello Overseas steel mills. F-you; Pueblo.

Can not wait to see 'buy local', and 'Colorado Proud' signs on the New Clog RR.

Re: “Reader: Concrete Couch took on a project it can't handle

Don't just read about it; take a trip and walk through it. N of Las Vegas; W of Royer. An environmental disaster in presence. Careful - five gallon buckets for toilets, needles, and altered states of rage may be present.
This is not an Utopia. This is a horrific gathering of bodily waste and trash. Never mind the 10 cubic yard dumpster; the ground is right there. No effort required.
