Re: “Traffic deaths closer to record, new Utilities chief, EPA loosens methane rules, and more news for the record

Annual Report needs more five gallon bucket report and research - where does five gallon bucket full of feces and urine go when full?
Does creek or waterway have any input? Does the trashman/sanitation worker have any input on how they feel about having to deal with these things when they do end up in a dumpster? Random bag of feces in a trash bin? Where is all this; ahem; Shit; actually ending up???
This smells like missing research.
Please include a Five Gallon Bucket count next year - quite possibly the best, and most reliable; indicator of _voluntary_ 'homelessness' available.

Re: “City Council passes creekside camping ban

This picture was taken just South of the old railroad bridge that crosses Shooks Run; head South from Shooks Run and E. Fountain Blvd.

Yes, that pile of trash is sitting ten feet away from Shooks Run.

Shooks Run feeds to Fountain Creek. Fountain Creek heads to well; Fountain. Eventually; all this waste trash and the feces and other trash; it is used to water our produce along the Arkansas river.

Walk South Shooks Run. Gaze upon dozens of buckets of feces; trash blowing; and native grasses stomped into fields of dust. Feel Safe?

Re: “Concrete Couch: We're making "A Place for All to Meet and Make"

Who owns all the five gallon buckets full of feces?

Where are the 80-120 homeless at the site using the bathroom?

Follow Shooks Run to the South from Costilla. Notice the 10 yard dumpster; notice all the trash in the area?

Ask yourself - with 80-120 homeless living there; why are volunteer groups needed to pick up the trash? One hundred homeless; and volunteer groups are having to pick up the trash?

Something has already gone wrong with this particular social experiment.

Re: “Reader: Your donations are ruining our city

Our well intentioned charities are functioning as endless clothes emporiums. Day after day; they will give endless bags full of clothes out - endless as in does a transient need a pair of ski boots?
Here. Have a pair of ski boots. Never mind that they will end up on the trailside; or end the creek. By the way; here's a blender too. Ah, no electricity? No problem; have a nice day; and just leave the clothes that don't fit along the path also.

Take a walk around the paths, the trails, our once litter and trash free outdoor areas. This is a behavior problem that needs to change. Our city should not be used as an open litter box by those that are supposed to be benefiting from our generosity.

Re: “Users worry about safety on urban trails, but police say most violence is among homeless

"Piles of trash, likely left by campers, rest along the path."
"Strike up a conversation"

509 E. Vermijo. Gaze upon the endless field of trash and garbage. The unused 10 yard dumpster in the middle of it all.

This is about behavior. Even with a dumpster; too many 'campers' are still destroying their surroundings.

Bodily wastes? Oh, that is just a small walk to the creek. Or the ever present five gallon bucket. Full bucket? LOL; just toss it into the creek.

Re: “UPDATE: Regional Building Department asked to donate $200,000 to Salvation Army

What does the community get for this grant?
- Downtown and the zip codes surrounding it is becoming an apocalypse of trash and garbage strewn all over the place.
Actually seeing some results in the areas the taxpayers live in would be nice; but the Salvation Army is going to produce reams of reports and bogus paperwork instead.

Re: “Concrete Couch wants to allow a temporary homeless camp at its new location. But is it a pipe dream?

The whole area used to be free of trash and garbage. Then a giant homeless camp happened; and was soon a foot deep in trash. So; the area South of the Lowell development was bulldozed to the ground.
Wow. Now they want to give the homeless showers; and make a nice place for them?

Gee, what happened to the nice park like area that used to be there.
Before the homeless arrived.
And they had to simply bulldoze everything to the ground because it was so full of trash and garbage and syringes and human bodily waste?

That's ok; just feed them another meal. It will all be just fine. Because ... uh, uh, .... uh.... just feed them; and give them a place to stay. uhhh.... Jesus? ?
