A Place Apart: Colorado and the American West

When: April 22-May 14 2013

Where the mountains meet the plains, where urban life meets the wilderness, where small towns meet the prairie's vast expanse, that's where Robert Adams will be, camera in hand. The photographer, who grew up in Denver and taught English at Colorado College, is now the topic of a new exhibit at the I.D.E.A. Space (825 N. Cascade Ave.,, opening today with a special preview reception at 4:30. This, after a large retrospective left the Denver Art Museum last year and is now touring internationally. Adams' alma mater show will be on display through June 15. — Edie Adelstein
