A Slight Case of Murder

When: June 12-26 2010
Price: $10, $35 for dinner and a show

Prohibition is over (yay!). But what's a bootlegger to do now? Remy Marco decides to become a legit brewer; only problem is his beer sucks. As his high life slips into decline along with his marriage, things get further complicated by some good old-fashioned, untimely death (yay! ... I mean, um, how sad). Welcome to Damon Runyon's classic play, A Slight Case of Murder, co-written by Howard Lindsay and turned into a 1938 film. The Damon Runyon Repertory (611 N. Main St., Pueblo,, will stage five performances of it between June 12 and 20, one of them being at 2 today. Seats are $10. — Matthew Schniper
