Re: “Is the C4C resolution a contract?

MR Burns... you forgot about the associated debt. The city can't even afford to keep the streets in fair condition, but you think we should spend 120 million on a stadium that nobody wants and will fall quickly into bankruptcy?

No way the citizens want this project, only Bach and his developer buddies that will reap great profits from the land that they scored prior to the project. Why do you think that they will not put it to a vote?

Re: “Tennessee man says quality of Colorado Springs weed 'is an absolute fraud'

Thousands of people benefit from Medical Marijuana in Colorado Springs every single day. Some guy from Tennessee can't find his way to a good source in his first week and it's a big news story ? A week on temp paperwork doesn't make you a marijuana expert.

Re: “C4C heads for final approval

The only people that I see supporting this project are the developers and the ones that ran around buying the property with their inside information prior to the release of details relating to the projects.
They have found yet another way to pull the money out of taxpayers pockets and into the vaults of the wealthy insiders.

No way we need this stadium or any of the other related projects until we can figure out how to be a financially stable community through development of jobs and businesses for our citizens.

Re: “Wake up and smell the weed

Bach is going to have a short run, along with the council members that stated that they would "support the will of the voters" in regards to marijuana. They have failed to uphold their pre election commitments and are now holding a ticket for the next bus out of office.

Re: “With the recreational market open, does it make sense to be an MMJ patient?

Oh, and there was no "registry breach" Please post a link to this information, if you can.

One correction to Cliff's tax exemption comment. Although the state will except the sales tax for those that are indigent patients, the City of Colorado Springs refuses to grant that exception. Tax exempt patients will be excepted from 2.9% of sales tax that is the state portion only. The city will collect all the money they can, especially from the poor and the sick. Seems wrong to me, but hey that is how our city works.

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs moves to shut down cannabis club

Well then, if Colorado Springs police don't have jurisdiction to arrest for federal laws, how are they going to do it at the airport? Are they going to send federal agents every time TSA finds a joint in somebody's bag? Nope, local cops will arrest [issue summons] on a federal crime.

Here, let me help you out your apparent lack of knowledge regarding how this really works:…

We can just skip down to the good parts:
" ...The Court’s conclusion presupposes that state officers possess the inherent authority to make warrantless arrests for federal offenses. The same assumption guided the Court in Miller v. United States. 357 U.S. 301, 305 (1958). As the Seventh Circuit has explained, "[state] officers have implicit authority to make federal arrests." U.S. v. Janik, 723 F.2d 537, 548 (7th Cir. 1983). Accordingly, they may initiate an arrest on the basis of probable cause to think that an individual has committed a federal crime... "

So, to break it down, If Bach decides to be more of a dick than he already has been, he can have local cops arrest anybody in possession of a joint under federal law. All they have to do is notify the feds that they have you in in possession.

In conclusion is it better to start butting heads and waving dicks around right now, or perhaps take the not so much in your face approach? Oh and if it is any consolation I dislike this as well, but one can not pretend that reality does not exist. Bring on the dislikes !
