Re: “Run-on sentencing

the state of colorado says they are only looking at public safty and parole helps do that according to them. But the fact is unless someone commits a new felony they should not be put back into prison. then there is the point of public safty again isnt it true that someone is less likly to commit another crime if they were locked up for half the time as someone who has to do twice the amount of time in prison for a parole violation. the way i see it and im speaking from experience is that parole is only used for one purpose and that is to force a person into getting another charge so they can do twice as long in prison and colorado gets money from the goverment. i have done over 3/4 of my parole time and am looking at doing 100% cause my p.o doesnt feel like i should get good time. i havent even gotten so much as a parking ticket well on parole so what are the odds that i will get another felony well according to the state of colorado almost none cause they feel after someone has completed 50% of there time on parole they are not likly to commit another crime so why is it that im still on parole after completing over 3/4 of my parole time and thats not including the $135,000 it costed the state to leave me in prison well its so they can get more money from tax payers. its that simple so im going to do about 7 1/2 years in the system on a 5 year sentence and guess what you the tax payer get to keep paying for me to go see my p.o once a month. maybe its time for a change likly not going to happen but i guess we can all hope for it
