Re: “Sheriff Bill Elder seeks second term, and political races shaping up

God, please help the Republicans enlist a far better more qualified and honest candidate to run against Bill Elder in the upcoming election for Sheriff. We need a Sheriff who will fight to make our community safer and be a part of making our community better, not a douche bag like Bill Elder. El Paso County cannot afford another 4 years of dirty Bill Elder. We have lost so much already because of his corruption - we, as the taxpayers, cannot continue being on the losing end.

Re: “Officer’s testimony omits prior IA investigation for use of force

It's one thing to say that you can't remember or "can't immediately recall" what you had for dinner one night three years ago, but it's a whole other story when - UNDER OATH - a law enforcement officer "doesn't remember" or "doesn't immediately recall" that he was investigated by Internal Affairs. A person just doesn't forget something like that.

And, for big fat Sheriff Bill Elder to play dumb about the whole thing ... ah, not surprised!

Re: “EPCSO's Special Investigations Fund audited by Department of Justice

You don't say!

Here is good question! Who was held accountable for this stupidity? Was Larry Borland held accountable? Was Brian McPike or Jane Fromme held accountable? Heck, Fromme has been the bookkeeper of those funds for many years now. Did she get disciplined?

It's interesting, Elder and his "little house of horrors" tried hiding this until the DirtyElder website exposed it and the media started snooping! A lot more credibility goes out to the DirtyElder website, that's for sure!

In any event, all along so many EPC and EPSO staff have said Borland, McPike, Fromme, Kniffen, Bell and DeStefano are INCOMPETENT and SHOULD NOT be assigned to jobs that deal with money!!!! This shows one very clear example. What a shame!

Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

This is a classic example of El Paso Countys infamous diversion tactic! A classic example of a retiree, in this case, getting screwed by El Paso County. Its a County Retirement Plan anyone in their right mind would expect that the Commissioners would have some oversight of that plan, but yet Commissioner Littleton plays the typical no one told me card and County Attorney Amy Folsom, a woman who should not have a license to practice law, plays interference for the Commissioners because she has no other real value; just like her girlfriend Diana May. Nevertheless, where is the accountability? Again, its an El Paso County Retirement Plan and our sleazy Commissioners dont have oversight? No one is being educated on how the plan works? Something isnt making sense there!

We all know that CFAO Nicola Sapp has her hands in the Retirement Plan. Will she be held accountable for this major flaw? Could this be another example of her stupidity and evidence of being unqualified for a CFAO job? What the heck is going on with El Paso County? No retiree should be faced with this! They shouldnt get railroaded by a retirement plan put in place through the government entity for which they devoted years of their lives.

Oh my word, we have a dirty Sheriff and Undersheriff, a dirty District Attorney, sexual predators in the workplace, people in jobs for which they are not qualified, and a board full of dirty Commissioners led by none other than Darryl Short Short Man Glenn. No wonder this County is a laughing stock!

Re: “Sheriff's Office's "fight club" results, and two inmates deaths

Given the gravity and seriousness of this alleged "Fight Club," anyone in their right-mind would question why Elder kept this investigation in-house. I'm confident that most would agree, given the severity, the investigation should have been given to an outside agency for an impartial and objective investigation to reveal the real truth, not some Elder cover-up! Investigations of this nature, to include those involving a death of an inmate, MUST and SHOULD be investigated by an outside agency. Period!

Re: “El Paso County inmates say new jail contractor serves inadequate food

It has become pretty clear since Elder took office in 2015, that Sheriff Elder doesnt care about the safety of our deputies and the support staff working the floors at CJC. He doesnt care about the Patrol deputies on the streets risking their lives every day. He doesnt even care about the inmates serving time in our correctional facility. It is a disgrace that he and Command Staff are willingly standing by and allowing this to happen. What they are doing DOES NOT define leadership. It is a shame that no matter how many complaints are made or proof is shown, the so-called leadership of El Paso County DOES NOTHING to correct it. All they do is play their blame games, resort to their diversion tactics, or just blatantly ignore the problem hoping it will go away. This is another reason why so many dont stand up and say something. They know if they do, they will be black listed and their pleas will go unanswered.

El Paso County Government, to include the Sheriffs Office, has become a laughing stock in this community. They turn a blind eye to Elder's corruption, his discrimination against women, the promotion of sexual harassment in the workplace, the support of sexual predators (i.e. Commander Rob King and Lt. Bill Huffor), the engagement in financial impropriety, the list goes on. And now as taxpayers, employees of El Paso County, and members of this community we get to keep adding to that list, but see our Commissioners doing nothing about it. When will it end? Does something so bad have to happen before our Commissioners stand up and hold Sheriff Elder accountable? We have inmates that are deliberately being malnourished, deputies being put in unsafe and deplorable conditions, but yet Elder sits up in his Ivory Tower just laughing. Does someone need to die or be beaten so badly as a result for someone to actually stand up and defend us?

It is worth noting that what they have done with the food contract and taxpayer General Fund and 1A money that is being used to pay for it is blatant financial malfeasance and nonfeasance by an Elected Official (or in other words, financial wrongdoing and misconduct, but also the failure to perform an official duty). Lets not forget that simple procurement policies have been violated as well.

We see it every day! When will it end? When will the Commissioners "grow some balls" and hold Elder and his clan of cronies accountable?
