Re: “Strong mayor: Skorman's the one

The Holy Three, to be referenced that way, is already a loser for me. I want someone who is willing to make the tough decisions and those who are willing to stop the insane spending. In the current economic situation, it is ridiculous to keep pounding the tax payers to support radical spending. Then there are some who would give away a hospital facility for nothing, and yet taxpayers have paid millions for it and on it. Who in the world would have such an ideology, those who believe your hard-earned money is theirs, that is who. For those who think that everybody should support their ideology is also ridiculous, you have candidates who have proven to be failures and yet people just can't stop the insidious redistribution of someone else's wealth for some while others have to actually work for their wealth (actually just money to survive). We have thousands of people out of work in Colorado Springs and people are worried about medical marijuana (just maybe, if there was some honesty in this business, your need for it wouldn't be in jeopardy, but when most people can walk into one of these distribution centers and say I have a headache and be given "medical" marijuana, it diminishes the necessity for others, I have had severe migraines since I was three and I sure don't use marijuana to make it feel better; however, I would not deprive anyone who truly needs it for medical reasons to be able to get it, but we have a society that abuses everything and makes it impossible for those who truly benefit). Don't blame the candidates for not giving you medical marijuana, blame those who abuse the purpose of these facilities.

Re: “Wording is everything on this ballot

This is exactly why politicians are the most untrustworthy individuals on the planet. Always question anything on the ballot and make sure you research why people are for it and why people are against it. I believe the advertising for 60, 61 and 101 were extremely deceptive but voters fell for it hook, line and sinker. Those ballot issues allow government officials to borrow as much money as they see fit. Jobs were not going to be lost, but that is not what was touted in advertisements. The clue to these initiatives were who wanted them to fail, who financially supported the failure of all three but voters blindly let each measure fail which gave unions and politicians the right to continue to steal your money from you. Politicians at the state and local levels have been trying since TABOR passed to get citizens to basically repeal it, guess what? Voters did that on 60, 61 and 101. You let them take advantage of your trust.

The term limit questions were extremely deviously deceptive and people against them, should insist that they appear on the next ballot and they cannot be initiated until that vote. People, you must remember, politicians for the most part will deceive you because that is the only way they can continue to live off of your hard work. El Paso County and Colorado Springs politicians are just as deceptive as those in Washington and at the state level, don't ever fool yourself into believing differently. If you allow it, they will take every penny you earn to benefit themselves. It is not to benefit you, stop allowing them to get by with it.
