Re: “Still screwed

I believe that ArmyCPT makes the case in the article for all to see! The CPT said: "I've talked to WTU Soldiers who are "disgusted at the majority of wounded warriors who milk their injuries for personal gain". Tough to hear? " Rather than correcting someone who might say that it sounds like the CPT believes it! Does that mean the CPT thinks the Army has inept Doctors who can't decide properly who needs WTU medical care MOST of the time? If the CPT, who likely doesn't have a medical degree, treats MOST soldiers in the WTU like they don't belong there AND are MILKING the system, it is no wonder Soldiers feel mistreated, disrespected, and therefore (rightfully) complain. There is no way that the CPT treats them fairly and with the respect they have earned as senior officers and NCOs. Even our junior ranked WTU Soldiers deserve better, or the best. CPT, it seems to me that you need to step aside if you are still "leading" WTU Soldiers! With your bias, you can no longer work objectively. You can't do your mission! Do the right thing and let someone who really cares about our Soldiers and supports the decisions of our Doctors truly lead our Soldiers to heal.

Re: “Still screwed

I'm truly bothered by the comments of the "Old Soldier." I was a Wounded Warrior at Ft. Carson. My experiences mirror those reported in the story. Unfortunately, it is true. Maybe others had different, more positive experiences. I can say the WTU doesn't do everything wrong, but they do enough wrong that an overhaul is needed. Certain key leaders need to be replaced. Intimidation and retribution needs to stop. The Army needs to be true to its pledge to take care of soldiers. Those same Soldiers who so bravely put their Country before themselves.
