Most Pathetic Attempt To "Enjoy Nature"

Tie: Pikes Peak Hill Climb; Kissing Camels Club

Which could be worse -- cars racing up Pikes Peak Highway, engines screaming, tires spewing gravel and dust, alarming and occasionally colliding with deer and other creatures (hikers among those disturbed), or shining a night-time spotlight on Kissing Camels rock in the Garden of the Gods, a formation where prairie falcon all too rarely nest? We think it's a tie. The "I'm Too Rich To Care, and Besides There's Money for the City Involved" citation is shared by the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and Lyda Hill's Kissing Camels Club. Hey, isn't she part of the family that shone spotlights onto Pikes Peak some years back? (NH)
