Bristol Brewing Company
just released the third of its four-series birthday boxes to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The limited-edition 12-packs each feature a flagship brew plus a trio of “specialty brews inspired by it” (so three bottles each of four different beers).

Good news for hop heads: Box #3 features Compass IPA (originally named Edge City IPA in the late ‘90s), plus a white IPA (a Belgian-style previously released as Automaton White IPA), and two entirely new brews for this occasion. The first is a single-hop IPA featuring Mosaic hops, regarded for berry aromas and a tropical essence.

The second is the lovely IPA Twenty-Five, highlighting a bitter blend of Centennial, El Dorado and Strata hops, lending a complex mix of piney, citrusy and juicy hops, based on our tasting. All the beers are also available in the taproom while kegs hold out.
