When: Tue., Nov. 10 2015

While Ryan Lindsey's slurred, helium-affected vocal style may take some getting used to, his Oklahoma band Broncho still managed to make one of 2014's more engaging indie-rock singles. "Class Historian," with its stuttering falsetto chorus, is the closest Broncho has come to a signature song over its two-album career. It got a huge response at this year's SXSW, where the bathrobe-clad frontman's onstage demeanor went pretty heavy on the Kurt Cobainisms. You can catch Broncho tonight at the Larimer Lounge (2721 Larimer St., Denver, Tickets are $12/adv, $15/door, and showtime is 8 p.m., with opening sets by The Shelters and Peral Charles. — Bill Forman
