Re: “UPDATE: Wagon Man headed back to court, draws support

I think Ms. Adams is wondering why Wagon Man gets citations and not SOME cyclists who definitely obstruct traffic (she is asking, "is there a difference?"; seems (feels) almost like many cyclists are daring drivers to 'do something about it'. That may NOT mean 'you' or others (so don't take it personally), but it means too many I've encountered. I so admire people who ride to work rather than drive, but they often ignore driving rules and considerations they are supposed to follow. In comparison, I admire wagon man and his unique mission (are any of our motives truly 100% pure and selfless?--RE Bill Burns). I'd never walk down the street in that way (for selfish and vain reasons), but I do want Mr. Wagon Man to know that I appreciate him when I see him, and he does put a smile on this cynical person's face. His message is cliched, but his manner of delivering it is surprising, and so I read his "be positive" message with attention and admiration for braving all sorts of weather. He gives me a very different impression than SOME cyclists. And . . . only in Manitou can you see a "Wagon Man" with a happy sign and a flagrantly flying flag, not to mention the occasional jogger with her lama in tow (that just cracks me up every time!). Now, I'll probably regret leaving this comment here. Don't want to encourage more negative focus on cyclists.
