Re: “City in awkward position as only one community center attracts a bidder

"And thus, the city finds itself in an awkward position with Westside Community Center, the only one of four centers to attract a bidder after being put on the block at the beginning of the year."

And yet another LIE...WVC was one of TWO applicants with proposals for community centers. The other organization submitted their RFP on time for the February deadline, requesting use of Meadows Park Community Center- who in fact are now redirecting their well over 20 awarded grants toward another venue. "Rumor" has it that the contributing factors to WVC being the only one out of the two being afforded the same opportunity to help the City preserve community centers is that the Parks and Rec Manager is a member of the congregation and that WVC had backers in addition to $1 million. The other rejected organization was prepared to amend their proposed budget for Meadows to include and/or optionally assume Hillside. BUT, the overseer of the RFPs did not include the other organization in meetings or even return calls in a professional manner. This same organization leaned toward employing a number of former city employees to assist the hardship that the City will only in a matter of time face again.

The only question left is, why does the City claim to "FIND" funding that has always been there, while further delaying the inevitable and predicted reductions for another year? And, why do they release false information regarding the bidders? It is fair to assume this will be answered once National media addresses the question with City Officials and the Founder of the rejected Organization.
