Re: “Briargate YMCA

In response to the previous review. Iv'e lived in the Briargate area for 20 years and have been a Briargate Y member on and off for several of those years. The staff is always very helpful and there are a lot of families/kids during certain times of the day, however, it is not "overrun by gangster kids" and there is nothing staff can do for a member who chooses to leave valuables in an unlocked locker. Personally, Iv'e never had an issue there and the skate park kids , are across the parking lot, not in the Y. The previous reviewer is grossly exaggerating issues that don't even exist, sounds like another faceless internet hate monger, oh well.

Re: “No bones about it

As a dog owner and lover I found the article "No Bones About It" very one sided. People might think it's a great idea to bring your pets everywhere but I feel it is a very selfish way of thinking. In a restaurant environment, the last thing I want to see is a bunch of dogs, calmly laying down or not. Restaurants have a hard enough time keeping their establishments clean from adults and kids visiting and then you add dogs, big or small, to the picture and it could become very costly, not to mention a liability for the store owner/manager if one time a dog bites a patron. Lets consider people who have allergies, dog phobias and any other personal issues people may have with animals in general. People have an unwarranted notion that everyone loves their dog and are oblivious about personal boundaries. No matter how much I love my dogs I will not put my dogs before other people. Let's not lose our heads and truly consider our pets as other people.
