City election ballots hit mailboxes

More than 262,000 ballots for the April 2 city election were mailed on March 8. Ballots were mailed to registered active voters who live in Colorado Springs.

Voters will choose three at-large City Council members and a mayor and decide Issue 1, collective bargaining authority for firefighters.

Those who don't receive a ballot by March 13 should contact the City Clerk's Office at 385-5901 or election@springsgov.com.

Drop-off information is at ColoradoSprings.gov/election.

• Council candidate forum, 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 14 at Sierra High School, 2250 Jet Wing Drive, hosted by the Southeast Express and Citizens Project.

• Council candidate forum, 3 to 6 p.m. March 20 at the Independence Center, 729 S. Tejon St.
