Re: “Calling the troops off the Incline

First of all, any "news outlet" that would write an entire article by not getting both sides of the story first is certainly not credible in my book. How dare those of you who bash military Soldiers who put their lives on the line for your very Freedoms, including the speech shown here. Shame on you. Secondly, this woman regardless of whether or not her family serves in the military has has nothing but distaste for the military in general. If she weren't an ignorant & self rightous (fill in the blank here) she would have addressed this issue at the lowest level; common knowledge among those educated enough to hold a career. Unfortunately, she must not have been and therefore; did not address her concern with the Battalion Commander in order to get this Soldier disciplined, who she carbon copied in her original complaint letter to the 4th ID Commander, Command Sergeant Major and an array of news outlets. Instead, she preferred to gain the Sympathy of uninformed Colorado Springs citizens and give the military (who her husband is currently serving in) a bad name. I do not understand why you'd want to make your own husband look bad and lose the support of the local citizens while his homecoming from a theater of operations is near. Again, that portrays nothing but selfishness. I'm certainly not condoning what that Soldier did/did not do. Soldiers can at many times be extremely inappropriate, but this does not represent the majority. The way this woman portrayed the situation only brought discredit upon herself and the military for which her very husband serves. I hope those of you that know this woman, put some sense into her and those of you that don't refrain from making any judgements based on one article from a less than credible source.
