Spring must officially be in the air, as two local artists of note are preparing to hit the proverbial road.

Local art-rock band Cocordion is kicking off a 31-date tour across the country with shows at Denver’s Syntax Physic Opera on April 12 and the following night, April 13, at the Zodiac, with Nina de Freitas, American Grandma and High Ghostly in support. Hopefully the Friday the 13th date holds nothing but good luck for Cocordion, who will wind their way through the Midwest, Canada, East Coast and southern U.S. over the next two months.

On April 14 at the Triple Nickel tavern, meanwhile, you can see off emcee TMC, aka Taylor McCullough, who is kicking off his own short “719 Tour” in support of his recently released The 719 EP. TMC, who hails from Lamar, Colorado, and is now based out of Denver, is likely a familiar presence to local hip-hop fans due to his affiliation with Clydesdale Entertainment.

TMC’s atmospheric and soulful nine-track EP is described as his “ode to southern Colorado,” and the tour reflects this, including stops in his hometown as well as Walsenburg and Pueblo.

TMC’s appearance in the Springs will also feature The Famm, Teqnik G and Thoroughbreds.
