Re: “Case by case

That badged CSPD thug Tyler Walker demonstrated his lack of judgement and lack of self-control. This is evidenced by the fact that he claimed to have injured himself while performing a spectacular professional wrestling move on a defenseless (handcuffed), much smaller person. It's thus totally clear that he went overboard. Plus, you can even see him gesticulating, right after he'd caused serious injury and permanent harm to a young woman in his custody, in an apparent attempt to rationalize his unjustifiable, totally unprofessional behavior.

When one wears a uniform, one's actions reflect on all those who wear the same uniform. We respect law enforcement officers -- all of them -- a little bit more when one of them does something heroic, something far above and beyond the call of duty, something that each of us wonders how anyone could be so good and so great and so caring and so selfless.

But the converse is also true: just as respect can be earned, so can disrespect be earned, and for all those on the same team in the same uniform...

So I don't know which is more apalling, the violent physical behavior of CSPD thug Tyler Walker, or the fact the CSPD sat on this video for 6 months before starting an IAD investigation and then, a year later, there is still no resolution, with violent thug Tyler Walker not only at large and free to abuse again, but to do so on the public dole.

It says on the fender of CSPD cars something about safeguarding the community as our families. Does that mean that Walker is the equivalent of a wife-beater? Does the CSPD hire and harbor wife-beaters?

Walker should have been canned looooong ago. He probably has little future as a professional wrestler (he's too violent, too destructive, and not big enough), but that does seem to be how he sees, or at least saw, himself...

For the first few days, every time KRDO TV 13 aired the video (they re-air their slanted infobiz productions continuously), they included video which showed thug Walker brutishly shoving the young woman down hard into a hard chair, but their narrative never mentioned that, as if the woman's feisty reaction was to nothing at all. (I wonder if [m]any 'viewers' are ever taken in by KRDO's yellow journalism?)

New rookie mayor John Suthers' time in office had been getting off to a pretty good start. Given John's background in the so-called justice system, the Mayor needs to speak up and speak out and act forcefully and decisively, and very soon, or he will be seen as ruling in, if not hell, a community whose self-rule beyond-the-Constitution ways are enforced by jack-booted thugs who see themselves as being [above] the law, and which deserves no better.
