Cracking the book 

It's summertime -- time to pull on a pair of shorts and cool T-shirt, pour a big glass of lemonade and stretch out by the pool with a good book. (Check out some reading suggestions beginning on page 14.)

    What is the story of your life? Been a carpenter of 37 years, can't do it very much anymore, so I'm studying architecture at the age of 54. So, I'm going to college.

    What book is on you nightstand right now? Utopia by Sir Thomas More.

    Which fictional character would you want to be? One of my favorite books is To Kill A Mockingbird, so I'd like to be the main character, Atticus Finch, just because of his lifestyle and the way he lives and the way he teaches his kids about things.

    What is the story of your life? To try to help people. To try to find a way to make people's lives easier.

    What's on your must-read list this summer? The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren.
