Re: “Railroaded for domestic-violence defendants, El Paso Countys fast track may not always lead to justice

My daughter went through the exact same thing! Yes, they did get back together, realize thier mistakes, and have been diligently working towards a better, healthier relationship. Yesterday, Aug.23rd, they, and her 8 yr. old son, went to Pueblo Lake to camp overnight. She was blowing up a beah ball to play with her son in the water, when 2 Pueblo cops pulled up and arrested her! They said that El Paso County had issued a PERMENANT restraining order on her and she wasn't allowed near her domestic partner! So, her son got to witness her arrest, she sits in the Pueblo jail and ppears in court on Monday at 2:00 pm. My question is....WHAT RIGHT DOES EL PASO COUNTY HAVE ISSUING THIS RESTRAINING ORDER WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING EITHER PARTY INVOLVED!!!! This totally reeks of a set up!!! When did we pass over the line of "America, Land of the Free" into "Mother America"! And how could El Paso County get away with enforcing an unwarranted restraining order without notification? IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS OF SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP US, OR A GOOD LAWYER THAT WILL WORK "PRO BONO" PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY AT SWANMOON2@MSN.COM!!!!
