More and more testing will create improved achievement, or so says Mr. Mike Miles, for both teachers and students. Shameless self promotion by Miles will come at a cost to the parents and students in this district.
Miles is selling snake oil. The problem will be that when he leaves in a year or so the district will be in disarray and the kids will be the ones to suffer. He will get to take a sizeable piece of taxpayer money to put in his pocket in the meantime. $250,000 in compensation is waaaaay over paid for a superintendent of a district with 800 teachers.
Yes the principal was given a chance to defend himself. He has denied any knowledge.

I have joined my son for lunch and have been out on this playground since the begining of the school year. I have seen this graffiti since August. I told the front office about it before Christmas. I was told it would be taken care of. Nothing was done. I don't like that the school would lie about it. Is this what they are trying to teach our children?
The principal has denied any knowledge after being contacted by the press and the NAACP. It's on the KOAA coverage. By the way Mister Mxyzptlk my "insult" is just a five letter word. No one should be insulted by words. It's just a word for gawd's sake! It's just five letters in black font on a computer screen. No need to get your panties in a bundle.
Mister Mxyzptlk you are nothing short of a complete moron. The principal left it up for all to see for seven months and ignored reporting of it. If you don't feel that words matter then leave your idiotic ones off of this blog. Where exactly do you believe we should draw the line anyway? What if the word had been spray painted on an individuals property? Spray painted on the doors of city hall, your church? How exactly did you make the leap to a statement that indicts every white male in CS? Feeling guilty? Defensive a bit? Your ignorance does not excuse your comments.
Ugh! How typical of this town! We don't have racism here! All is well, All is well. Did anyone ask the neighborhood if they've seen it on the playground? Oh wait, that's a poor neighborhood and they're not supposed to have a voice. Nevermind.
Re: “D-2: Head of the class”
Good job Mr. Ward! Keep up the good work.
