Re: “Dr. Huxtable and Mr. Cosby

"Innocent until proven guilty" is what a defendant is presumed to be in a court of law. It means that in order for a criminal defendant to be found guilty of a crime, the prosecution must prove its case to the exclusion of a reasonable doubt. In the court of public opinion, people can presume whatever they want about a person.

Re: “Borriello Brothers - Power Center

The cheese on this pizza tastes like plastic. Also, this restaurant (at any of their locations) has some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. They act like they are doing you a favor to condescend to take your order.

Great - so the more experienced writers will be encouraged to leave.

Re: “Our search to find the best burger in the area

I can't believe you didn't review Marigold's burger! Truly the best burger in town.

Re: “Conventional blend

I'm amazed that you feel it's among the better Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. We live in Falcon, and have eaten at Poblano's a couple of times. The portions were skimpy, the food was bland and the service was awful. No need to go there now that we have La Mission - why don't you review that restaurant.

Everyone in Falcon I've talked to about it agrees: Poblano's is definitely NOT a welcome addition to the Falcon area!

Re: “A slippery slope

Mister Mxyzptlk, The point is, there should'nt be a "Christian quality" to a public school. Unless you think it's ok to have public schools that have a "Muslim quality", a "Hindu quality" or a "Jewish quality"? Public schools should not have religious qualities. They should be secular. And of course it's not ok for sexual assaults to happen in any school. Where in the article does it say that it's ok?

Re: “A slippery slope

Stetson, Thanks for including the rest of the quote from Mr. Mast. It further proves my point: "the ways of the world"? As opposed to what - the ways of the church, the ways of G-d? "The World" is often seen as as synonym for "evil" in a Christian worldview. And if you have a Christian worldview, that's fine. But don't impose it on children in a public school, which should be free from religious doctrine. And I've never heard the word "ministry" used in this sense by anyone but Christians. And I don't care if the people you've referenced are Jewish. Jews aren't a monolithic group, we have many viewpoints and opinions. There are even Jews who have no religious views or who call themselves Christian. Just because there may be Jews in the administration of the school, that doesn't mean they will honor my wish that child not be exposed to Christian doctrine in the school. And it's too bad, because I believe that a true classical education is an excellent background for any child or young person. But I don't want my child educated in a Christian school because we're not Christian. Why does that make me prejudiced or intolerant?
