Re: “Let the spying begin

It's rich that in a country in which there is practically no freedom, a country which bristles with its own surveillance cameras, a country in which the secret police listen in on telephone calls and attempt to make logs of every telephone call in the country, in which the secret police investigate people's reading habits, hack into e-mail and slit open letters, a country which uses "National Security Letters" to search anyone and anything anywhere, at any time, which closes down art exhibits critical of the regime and prosecutes artists under slender pretexts but really (they're not fooling anyone) for criticising government policy, which would use arbitrary arrest in secret locations or secret prisons on the President's or perhaps the secret police's say-so alone, would be critical of the lack of freedom somewhere else.
