Re: “Win $20 to Ruffrano's Hell's Kitchen Pizza

I know it's too late to do so, but Hell's Kitchen hands down wins. I ran across the place back in September just days after it opened. Me and several friends have frequented the place as much as possible since.

Re: “Flying solo

John,

I was addressing the people commenting on this story who blatently chose to look beyond the disorder Mr. McKenzie has and instead viciously attack him as a deadbeat pedophile. The grad school student I addressed specifically because this individual should know something about the effects of this disorder a little more than what they claim to know. I did look at the gray area, so to speak, and the most glaring issue I saw was that Mr. McKenzie was not properly treated until after the fact for his disorder, and as a result, it had wreaked havoc on his life. The people on here who are saying he needs to get a job apparently fail to remember that a person with any criminal conviction on their record, especially a sex offense, makes one's chances of employment all but vanish. I should have been more clearer and a bit less "hateful", if you will - at the time I wrote that post, I was infuriated by some of the comments I had read that seemed to imply there was nothing wrong with this man, and that he is nothing more than a deadbeat pedophile of a father.

Re: “Flying solo

To all of you who are accusing Mr. McKenzie of being a deadbeat, guilty pedophilia father: shut the f*** up. Now. You people who are attacking him are demonstrating you have no idea what bipolar disorder does to a person, and you demonstrate that you don't know anything about (and probably don't care about) abnormal psychology. I have a brother who struggles with bipolar disorder type 1 every day. He is almost the exact same way as McKenzie is as far as the symptoms go. The Air Force failed to help this man as did the courts. Instead of recognizing the problems that can grow out of this disorder, they punished him instead. Why don't all of you hateful, venomous bastards go back to school and learn more about this disorder? Show some damn empathy. And Toshi (or whoever you are) - you should know this better than anyone else. You're in grad school, for f***'s sake. Don't tell me you haven't taken anything in psychology in an effort to better understand why some people are the way they are.
