Designing CC

When: Wed., Sept. 2, 12:15-1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 9, 12:15-1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 23, 12:15-1 p.m. and Wed., Sept. 30, 12:15-1 p.m. 2015

I recall that when I was a student at Colorado College 15 years ago, conversations more than once turned to campus architecture and both the beautiful and ugly buildings amid the school's eclectic collection. It was like playing Hot or Not, but with bricks and mortar and stuff. Turns out there's a lunch meet-up for similar banter, albeit more guided and likely more constructive. Meet from 12:15 to 1 today at Packard Hall (5 W. Cache la Poudre St., with professor emeritus of art Carl Reed for "Designing CC," a free discussion of the "design and implementation of the sculptural and botanical landscape that complements Packard's Modernist architecture." — Matthew Schniper
