Re: “Reader: Free speech is for everyone except Christians

Jim Harper you nothing but an overgrown child that never got disciplined. Ask Jack Phillips up in Denver, he choose to refuse service to people that he did not agree with based on faith. He got punished by the state. They have yet to demand a Conservative Christian pastor to marry a couple...but that is coming. You can me a liar, but you guys more so in order to impose your childish and dare I say wicked and vile agenda on the of rest of us.

Re: “Reader: "Make America a Democracy again"

Progressives have been doing a better job at phrases that Conservatives have...and done it much longer. Elanie was projecting...not necessary lying.

Re: “Reader: "Make America a Democracy again"

Elaine, you just projecting the hate and bully tactics onto us. You just don't want to push back on your goals to fundamentally transform America. The real Oligarchy are those who push the progressive agenda on those who oppose it...especially unaccountable judges and those who want us to affirm the sins that the progressives what to impose on people like me who oppose it. The left has been good at projecting their evil on their enemies.

Re: “Reader: Free speech is for everyone except Christians

Religion is not dying out, but what is happening that is that Islam is growing with the approval of the Progressives, or they flat out just don't care...cause if they did they would be going after them as much as they do the so called "Christian Right."

Progressiveism I dare say is a religion in itself and like Islam it is both political and religious. Islam however has its standing army, and the Progressives really need their own. They can't rely on the UN or the local police and that is one reason why I think the left is pushing for a national police force. A force that will answer to the progressives and nobody else...including our Constitution of the United States of America. Progressiveism's real goal is to replace God and his Church with Man's "State." The State being Big Centralized Government who feels its need to shape the culture in its vision and image.

Christianity is on the decline for many reasons. Many of those reason are their own fault (calling out what the Bible calls sin is NOT one of them), BUT make no mistake the left declared war on that respected faith a long time ago and too many Christians did not take the threat seriously. Humanist and leftist John J. Dumphy said it best with these quotes from his now well guarded piece "A Religion for a New Age."

"I am convinced that the battle for humankinds future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers who correctly perceive their role as the proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being. There teachers must embody the same selfless dedication of the most rabid fundamentalist preacher, for they will be ministers of another sort, utilizing a classroom instead of a pulpit to convey humanist values in whatever subject they teach, regardless of the educational level preschool, daycare, or large state university. The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and the new the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent in its promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of love thy neighbor will finally be achieved.

Years later Dumphy stated this; "Have I mellowed over the past 11 years? Of course, who hasn't? But have I repudiated or even questioned the basic tenets of 'A Religion For A New Age'? No, nor can I envision myself ever doing so. How do I respond to the fundamentalists who are so incensed by the essay? If they have the decency to confront me to my face instead of sending anonymous hate-letters, I usually say something to the effect that Pat Buchanan was right at the 1992 Republican National Convention when he stated that a cultural civil war rages across America. While the struggle is certainly quite complex and multifaceted, I continue, a significant aspect of it is comprised of the conflict between the totalitarian Christianity of the Radical Right and the force of humanism. And then I add, 'But here's something that Mr. Buchanan neglected to mention in his address: humanism is going to win."

And Dumphy is being proved right, but It is not just humanism that is winning the day it's only a subcategory of the overall Progressive worldview. So let me rephrase what Dumphy said; What Patrick Bunchanan failed to mention is that Progressiveism is going to matter how much he and his right wing ilk may the to push back on our agenda for the human race.

But in the end; it is that rotting corpse of Christianity eventually will love its just will not give you the license to sin as progressiveism does. The license to sin however will have a cost...and that cost will eventually be Personal Liberty and Freedom. Don't think for one minute that once Progressiveism enemies are long gone (should it ever happen), that they will be living happy ever after. No, cause the progressive left will turn on their own. If you act like animals, think your animals, you will fight and DIE like animals. They need to hunt...its in their blood and instinct. The eventually extermination of the human race is Lucifer's (i.e. the Devil) long term goal.

Re: “Reader: Free speech is for everyone except Christians

Tom, keep on speaking out. I don't necessary always agree, but the way these leftists talk they have an agenda and in the long run they will discriminate against anyone who does not uphold their Progressive ideals and faith.

Progressivism is the threat of the day. They don't want us to push our faith on them but they have no problem pushing it on us...and their friends and allies approve. We have to bake LGBT wedding cakes and support and bless their LGBT weddings. Also we have to pay for abortions for women what act like harlots, and affirm their decition to abort cause after all they are women and them some. Never mind that half or more than half of the pre born babies that are snuffed are GIRLS!!! But the woman's loose libido is far more important...just look at Cosmo and you will see what I mean. They may not like seeing nude men but they love to talk dirty. Unlike the guys who do love to look at the T&A...or not if you go with Maxim.

They expect us to shut up and they get to act like animals. This is why we need to enact common sense into our culture and government and yes a lot of that does come from God's Law.

Jane O'Halloran is not your friend...she is your enemy. Sorry for all the crap you had to go through Jane but that does not give you an excuse to push your progressiveism on the rest of least not without a fight.

Re: “Reader: Public media is essential to democracy

I really thought Rev. Gary Glover's rebuttal to my letter was fair and made reasonable arguments. However I don't choose the headlines and was given a different headline in the online version of the CSIndy. That being Defund Public Media, itll be fine which was more objective than in the print edition (No more public media).

Yes, we have freedom of the press and that freedom allows for a news media to publish a newspaper to inform the public on what it going on around them. Our founders did not know or envisioned TV, Radio, or the world wide web in their day, but if they did they would be passionate about their freedom of speech over trying to be fair. Arguments for the Fairness Doctrine back might have been legit due to the scarcity of media outlets and thus the doctrine plus declaring that the airwaves are owned by the public were the norm. However these things were used as an excuse for our Government to censor certain dissenting views of the day.

The Fairness Doctrine was used to crush the view of people who not only oppose John Fitzgerald Kennedy but even those who opposed Richard Milhous Nixon. Ronald Reagan who had a passion for what the founders believed in through his admiration did away with this doctrine allowing oppose views to be heard without the threat of iron fisted government. It allowed the commercial News/Talk formats to embrace a consistent format of Conservative viewpoints which it was not allowed to in the past, although conservatives and libertarians and those who question our government like Peter Boyles, Mike Rosen, Hugh Hewitt, Neal Boortz were able to thrive before the Fairness Doctrine.

I have not been advocating the elimination of public media altogether. I have been questioning how American public is funded. For the most part our public media is funded by private free will contributions by individual people, Private Foundations, and Business (Corporate and Smaller).

Nobody can honestly answer the question why must the American People (i.e. hard working taxpayers) continue to fund these services; especially when major market stations like WNET-TV, WGBH-TV-FM in Boston, or KQED-TV-FM in San Francisco not only have a good amount of viewers and/or listeners but get a good amount of money from the CPB for their hard efforts to raise funds for these stations?

I have heard from those who worked in public media about certain grants that the CPB gives to stations who can raise significant funds on their own. No different than your matching grants that someone proposes during fund drives. So public media does choose winners and losers themselves. Sounds like another wealth redistribution scam to me. I also heard that the CPB even scammed certain stations out of the money they were supposed to get.

I doubt that our founders wanted a federally funded press when they were putting our great nation together. Nice try Rev. Glover, but your arguments do fall short there.
