Downtown Olympic Celebration & Rocky Mountain State Games Opening Ceremonies

When: Fri., July 25, 5 p.m. 2014

I hate to say that the appearance of Miles the Mascot and the Denver Broncos' cheerleaders are the best part of the Olympic Downtown Celebration (, but dammit, the season is only something like 40 days away. For others, there's fire, music, a Switchbacks fútbol zone, the nefariously named "AT&T Experience," where they probably hand you a piece of plastic then steal $200 from your wallet and kick you in the shins, and more. The festival is also celebrating the opening of the Rocky Mountain State Games — because, even though it seems like they never end, the Olympics aren't happening this year — so get yo-self to downtown Colorado Springs' Tejon Street, where the fun starts at 5.
