Located in The Antlers hotel, Duca’s Neapolitan Pizza serves as a casual takeaway counter and additional food provider for the adjacent Sportivo Primo and Piccadilly Bar. On its own, it’s more affordable. We skip past the wood oven pizzas and salads for something we’ve never tried before: piadine, flatbread sandwiches originally from the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy. We try a Megalena ($8.50), opting for the full sandwich with chips over the same-price half with salad.

A little homework casts shade on the ‘wich’s authenticity — a piadina is an unleavened flatbread, packed to look like a taco or gyro. Ours comes on a halved loaf rather than a folded flatbread. It is, however, a quality sandwich, piled with good salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce and tomato, with balsamic vinaigrette adding a nice flavor. The bread’s good, too, with an open crumb and tender crust. With the massive side of chips, it’s a good deal for the price.
