Re: “Law enforcement may have left Deputy Micah Flick and others exposed fearing a bad optic for cop aggression

Whole lot of innuendo with may and maybes. Tight lipped investigations are tight lipped for a reason. I'm always amazed at how many retired or ex experts give their opinion when they were not there. Given this is an election period and Indy has endorsed the former air force guy, not surprised they ran this piece of ambiguity and assumptions without facts. Newspapers should not support any candidate for any office, and keep to just the facts, ma'am.

Re: “Sheriff's challenger Angley gets cash boost from his wife

Mr Angley has run a dirty campaign. He attacks the incumbent instead of determining community safety issues and needs relevant to the sheriff's function. He has no experience with incident command management of wildfires, responsibly running a jail, responding to major accidents, or running real street level vice, narcotics or intelligence operations in a civil environment. He uses alleged informants, with no names, to create innuendo about behaviors of the incumbent or staff. Half truth Angley would be his call sign. Like his political writing he will pull a sentence or two from a long statement and turn it into a claimed fact. No basis to support that supposed fact. Just takes them out of context for his personal use. If he did real investigations I hope he didn't do that in the Air Force. He claimed 35 years of executive law enforcement. Not even close. In the military, Generals, Admirals and SES civilians are the executives. OSI runs investigations under DoD regs. He claimed he was like NCIS. NCIS reports higher up the chain. He worked for the Air Force IG. He claimed early in the game he is an operator. I worked with real operators, SOF/SPEC OPs. Dropped them off. Picked them up. Those are the real operators. REMF report writers don't count as operators. I want a real cop with real street creds to be the sheriff.

Re: “Mike Angley secures primary ballot slot after sheriff supporters allegedly harass assembly delegates

I was there. Walked the halls and sat high in the bleachers to view the entire area. I saw none of this happen. I did see folks supporting many candidates and all acted appropriately. The intelligent voter needs to ask the question, Why are you running a bad-mouth campaign instead of demonstrating knowledge of the job and a plan to improve safety for all citizens? There are no facts here. Makes me want to ask the Angley supporters if they need a time out and a snuggy. Do you want a sheriff who reacts to alleged or perceived micro aggression. As a relative novice to the process I felt comfortable in many of the so called gauntlets supporting all candidates for all offices. Free speech at a political event means allowing people to express themselves. The Indy also needs to investigate why Angley supporters were stalking Huffor and his children and taking videos to media. That's pretty low class.
