Re: “If voters approve, could ColoradoCare really pay for itself? It's complicated

We are currently being screwed and we all know it. ColoradoCare potentially gives us, as individuals supporting this economy, the opportunity to save a lot of money on health care. I don't know about you but for $1500+ a month for a family of 4, making just enough to not qualify for government assistance, that is way too much money. On top of that, a 10k max out of pocket on individual and a 15k on family. INSANE SINCE WE PAY OVER 18K A YEAR ON PREMIUMS - not to mention co-pays and prescriptions. We don't even come close to using 18K in medical services. Privatization of health care is NOT universal/socialized healthcare. Its called stickin' it to the people. Stick it to us at the liquor store or the dispensary if necessary. Also, I just want to point out that those who do make so little income that they qualify for government subsidies actually end end up paying for it out of their tax returns. What is the saying... if it isn't broke, don't fix it? Well this system is BROKEN - so why not try something new. At least this is a step in the right direction. Love and light, friends, love and light.
