While Valentine’s Day has come and gone and love may or may not be in the air, the inspiration for making music videos is clearly in the air, as three notable artists with local ties release videos. The ever-impressive dream pop quintet Eros and the Eschaton released a video for Weight of Matter’s lead single “Rxx” on Feb. 3, local punk rockers The Sleights debuted a video for the song “Falling Down” from their upcoming EP Fake News, and the eclectic Joseph Lamar served up an excellent piece of Prince-esque electro-soul on Feb. 14 with “About Love: Concerning the Discrepancies Between Expectations and Reality,” which also serves as the lead single for his forthcoming album, Quarter Life Righteous.

You can also catch two shows that were originally booked for the now-shuttered Flux Capacitor: Oklahoma City metalcore quartet Sledge hits the Black Sheep on Feb. 17 with Minor Morals, Souls, Casket Path, Soul Vice and Swept Under, while Los Angeles-based rapper K-the-i??? performs at Urban Steam Coffee Bar on Feb. 18 with Denver’s Dreamghost and local emcee Che Bong.
