Colorado Springs’ annual celebration of culture and diversity. This year the festival honors the legacy of Fannie Mae Duncan, a local African-American businesswoman and pioneer in the fight against segregation, with a USO show, with performer Daniel Rodriguez, famous as “The Singing Policeman’ performing the National Anthem in the aftermath of the Sept. 11th attacks.
